*** Official #6 IOWA STATE vs #2 Houston Game(Day) Thread ***

If it turns into enough of a rock fight we might be able to keep it close and gut one out. I just don't see it happening though. Houston is just better then us at playing the same style of basketball. Honestly, as long as we can at least exceed computer projects we should still improve metrics.

hmm surprised we have that many turnovers. One more thing to blame Lipsey and Keshon for, I suppose.
If I remember right, we appear to have more trouble when we make a quick second pass on a break away. Might help to attack the basket with more dribble before we try to hit someone under the basket. Just a thought.

Will update rankings when they come out. Houston should move to 2. Duke and Tennessee didn't lose. Unc and ku did but not sure they fall enough for us to move past them.

WV is due for things to go well and they still play erratic.

I've had that game circled as a weird one for quite a while and I'll be thrilled if ISU wins.
Not trying to start anything but do you have inside info on WVU? Or have you not attended/watched us at Hilton yet this season? I've been slightly nervous for most home conference games but that one is finally one I can't see any way we lose. Go State!

did you watch any of the baylor/wvu game from saturday night?

i get weird things can happen but my god, if that wvu shows up, they'll be lucky to lose by 30

And if the WVU that has shown up the rest of the season shows up they'll still lose by 15+. Now Tech on Saturday had me rather worried, not the Mountaineers.

Yep, watched a lot of it. They were really bad.

Things are never as they seem especially late Feb/early March college basketball and I would be very surprised if they're not sharp Saturday.

No to both.

They give me Tech in Lubbock vibes from last season.

Relying on what has already happened doesn't mean anything this time of year and so forth.

As long as we don't have a game like Marquette @ UConn, its kind of a no risk/high reward scenario for us. I'm not expecting the win; even if we lose we have a really good shot at sharing the title with Houston when comparing remaining schedules.
