*** Official #6 IOWA STATE vs #2 Houston Game(Day) Thread ***

Thanks Rulzzz!

In one way this is like an NCAA tournament game in that we have a short turn around and play a very good team after we play a very good team and win. Traveling between venues is the major difference. Two good coaches squaring off. Can’t help but feel that UH is the favorite for this one. Should be fun. Let’s get the upset. Go Cyclones! !!!

Play otz ball tonight like we beat them in Hilton and how we played Kansas remember Houston is just a name on the jersey it’s how bad you want it just play within ourselves and the clones win a tight one 66-63

There is no feel. Houston is absolutely the favorite to the tune of -10 in the oddsmakers eyes.
 
I know it’s a waste of typing, but I will do it anyway. Can we PLEASE do our best to not melt down if we lose this? There’s a chance we actually get housed tonight, and that won’t change a damn thing in my mind with this team and what’s left on the table.

This isn’t a scenario where in the past we’ve had chances to take control of something and lost it to a team that is inferior or one we had a real chance to win against. We have a chance tonight for sure, BUT this will be an absolute monumental ask to win at their place.

Time to shock the college basketball landscape!

UH has beat the hell out of everyone at home, but TT is only top tier team they've played. This will be their biggest test to date, too.

Feels like this game should start with a cage match.

I don't think there are any teams in the country that come out with more emphasis on punching the other team in the mouth right away.

If we can be there with them (within 2 scores) at under 16 TO, it will come down to 1 or 2 plays at the end. If we go down multiple possessions early it is going to be a long night.

Agree. Just need to make sure we don’t get ran on at the start of the game and I think we’ll be right there all game.
