Now I understand why you did it this way, but if it’s each player playing at their prime, whether that be NBA or not, it’s team C and it’s not even close

I took it as how they played when they were at ISU, which would make Halliburton not As good as most of the other guards. If it includes nba prime this thread is a lot less interesting.

This has been interesting to analyze. I keep looking at the matchups and benches as to how the games would play out.
A-Tinsley is definitely the main decider here. Outside of him you have some nice guards and wings. Frontcourt with a couple centers and no real power forward may give this team troubles against say Fizer or White. McKay and Jiri were solid, but not the best Frontcourt combo on this list by far.
B- My pick. Only thing I could see is Homan getting foul trouble and not having much size to replace him. I don't remember him getting that way and he played a lot of minutes so don't see a problem there. Morris was outstanding his entire career. Stinson was a great combo if you needed to slide him to point and get that bench in. Looks like this bench works in better than a couple other teams. Plus Niang with Hogue subbing for him or Shayok could hang with any of the other teams forwards.
C-Most interesting. Haliburton wasn't what he is now. He was good, but not near Morris or Tinsley good. Fizer leans the needle on this team, and him, Burton, and Kane would be nasty. I just look at the bench and Sullivan /Blaylock are the most meh players on the list.
D- My second pick. It would have been interesting to see Brackins and Garret with a little more talent around them. That team's bench would have the best rotation I could see. Horton was so versatile you could plug him in 1-3 if needed on that list. Lacks a bit in shooting, and the guards aren't quite what a couple other squads had. A has the best guard court imo.

That's how I took it. But let's not forget that sophomore year Haliburton was averaging 15/6/6 on 50/42/82 shooting before his injury. Plus, in this format, Tyrese is a player who showed an ability his freshman year to coexist with other ball handlers as an efficient spot-up shooter and secondary playmaker.

I think Team C is pretty clearly the best, with the best overall player (Fizer), two of the most difficult matchups (Kane and Burton), a lot of playmaking (Kane, Haliburton, and Blalock), shooting off the bench (Sullivan), and good enough posts besides for Fizer.

I like D or C.

Though with D I'd put Ejim or Brackins on the bench and start Horton or Long just to have a true 3 point shooter out on the floor.

C is tempting... but I'm going with A. Especially if I can sub out Jameel and put in Cato!

Give me Tinsley all day long... and the shooting of Matt Thomas, and McGee and Chris Babb off the bench.... yes please! Unstoppable. Gotta be able to put the ball in the basket!
