I thought you reffed HS for a while are you still doing it. I apologize if I have you confused with another posterCoaches often treat officials as though they are not human. TJ treats them like real people, and trust me they appreciate it. He keeps it real.
This could not be more true. Those guys/gals don't get paid much, often times have 2 jobs, have to travel, take all the **** in the world from both fans and coaches, and get literally no appreciation for what they do. It's like being a teacher.Coaches often treat officials as though they are not human. TJ treats them like real people, and trust me they appreciate it. He keeps it real.
Retired in 2019 when we moved to Colorado. Didn't want to start over at the bottom of the totem pole again. I miss it, but my knees do not.I thought you reffed HS for a while are you still doing it. I apologize if I have you confused with another poster
I would love to see a coach pull a Norman Dale and quietly say to a ref, "I really like you and don't want to yell at you or call you names, but I need a T. Give me the T so I don't have to yell at you."It would be really cool if the Big 12 refs could anonymously rank the Big 12 coaches on their bench decorum. I'd love to see that ranking.
That happens, believe it or notI would love to see a coach pull a Norman Dale and quietly say to a ref, "I really like you and don't want to yell at you or call you names, but I need a T. Give me the T so I don't have to yell at you."
