It's not the just the physical toll this team puts on their opponents it's the mental aspect as well. It's grueling to play us. You may win but it won't be fun.

Betting line for tomorrow night opened at a Pick Em
Not shocked. Cincy isn't bad at all. They have good athletes and size from what I have seen. Good defense, and very good on the boards. They are not great with the ball, not great shooting as a group (from the stats).
The question will be - are they super motivated, confident, and "on" after nearly beating Houston saturday and desperate to avoid 2 losses in a row at home? Or are they beat up and feeling down about that loss, and come out flat?

They should be desperate. They are literally right on the cut line for the field of 68 at the moment. Falling to 4-7 with several tough road trips remaining would be a tough hole to climb out of.

Have to say, it's hard to imagine a tougher 2 game home stand than that one.

I have seen some posters comparing this year’s team with the 2000 team. I do think the 2000 team is/was better, but I don’t think we have had a tougher team since then. The two teams are very similar in toughness. TJ’s practices are probably pretty similar to this video from one of Larry's practices in 2000.

I knew TCU would be desperate last Saturday. I knew they'd also be a little angry and wanting some serious payback for how we embarrassed them on their home court 3 weeks ago. I knew we'd get their best shot. Nevertheless, our guys threw the first punch and didn't let up.

If we come out with that same mindset at Cincinnati tomorrow night, I have a good feeling about the outcome. However, that's a very big if.

He reminds me a little of Bobby Knight at 1:10.

Put $1000 on Cincy is how i see this game.
This is your standard issue Iowa State Game.
top 10 ranking, playing for a conference title, but on the road to an unranked team, but super athletic squad.

and if we win you are out 1000 bucks, but Clones win.

How about you give your $1000 to the collective instead? Or maybe buy a $1000 of I Will pizza.

Jesus man, how much money do you have where losing $1,000 would be no big deal to you?

I give us about a 40% chance of winning. Not expecting it, but it's a real possibility.

It's just so incredibly nice having an ISU team and a coach that is tougher than nails, a team that has the toughness to win on the road. Doesn't come along very often.
