He's going to be set up as well as anyone to run it back next year. Really hard to make it 2 years in a row, but I know no one is going to work harder than Brock to get better.

Kicker missed a PAT. Mccaffrey had a fumble. Special teams muffed punt. Just terrible to see. I thought Brock played well enough to win
Turnover on the punt, missed PAT and Shanahan forgetting he had McAffery on the team during the 2nd and 3rd quarter did it. I also think that Greenlaw injury was big. Chiefs couldn’t get anything going while he was in.
Would have loved Brock to win it but I’m glad he played a good game. Certainly can’t pin the loss on him.

It’s eerie. Brock was haunted by bad special teams, a weak Oline, and head scratching playcalling. I’ve seen this movie before
I thought shannahan flat out chocked.
I hope Brock comes back for one of the remaining MBB games, and ISU fans give him the biggest standing ovation of all time.
Also that blitz on 3 and 8 was downright dumb

Pretty crazy to look back near the beginning of this thread (in a mostly good way) at how hopeful we are were that he'd make the roster....to how bummed we are now that he came up just short in the super bowl. Doesn't make it suck any less...just wild

I said in the other thread teams don't every play a perfect game. Things the Niners would like to have back:

2. Not running CMC in the 3rd much. Mind boggling.
3. Soft coverage late. Its a losing strategy.
4. OL just not being able to block Jones. Granted, he's elite but the OL was exposed tonight.

Insisting on playing Brock out of empty all third quarter was downright bizarre, especially when they can’t block.
Feel bad for Brock. Shanahan lost that game by getting away from the run and not having answers to the blitzes. Any time they tried to throw deep Brock was running for his life. Like watching him at Iowa State all over again

I thought last years team was better. That injury shows that you never know if you can get another chance Dan Marino and Aaron Rodgers are 2 of the top QBs ever and they have only ever been in one.
It still was huge even with the loss, he represented ISU well and continues to help build ISU's reputation in the NFL. Lazard, Montgomery, Hall are also building ISU's reputation. Cyclones entering future drafts can have these guys to thank since ISU is getting more and more known to put talent in the NFL.
