Somewhere along the line, basketball refs seem to have conflated flagrant fouls with targeting in football. Any head contact gets it even if it’s a normal basketball play
A pretty bad one here as well. Hit him in the upper chest\lower neck, and he flopped back like he got hit in the nose.

Broke my heart to see that BYU was only 10 for 21 from the foul line. Jerome is lucky the game was as close as it was.
Just out of curiosity, when you pull up standings in ESPN, Big 12 has yellow(ish) background, everyone else is plain white. Reason? (other than Big 12 is the best of course)
For me it highlights Iowa State on those things because I “follow” (or whatever) ISU on my account. You probably tagged the Big 12 MBB similarly.
