Time for a Real Discussion About Caitlin Clark

Not a great night for Clark 7-21 from the Field at the moment and 12 turnovers.

Stuelke has been terrific though. 41 points on 16-19 FG's.

Iowa keeping Caitlin on the floor late with the game already decided, meaning she might score enough so that she could break the record on the road at Nebraska instead of at home against Michigan, is just so Bluder.
Blah. Game was within 10-12 points late. And CC is who everybody paid to see, so keeping her on the floor is also about giving people their money's worth.

I do kinda-sorta see this, but come on … Penn State was never gonna close within single digits over the final 5 minutes, that was obvious. They did cut the lead to 10 at one point in the 4th, but it was generally 13-15 points the vast majority of the period. I do see the reasoning behind trying to keep feeding Stuekle, though, in this situation.

(Plus, plenty of empty seats as the time ticked past 10 pm on a Thursday night and the game was well in hand, as to keeping in CC as “the one they all paid to see”)

Ice cube say she f’d around and got a triple double. Wonder if that’s ever happened before. 12 turnovers is next level. Congrats to Clark

I’ve said numerous times on here…. CC is an amazing shooter and passer…. probably the best ever in women’s college basketball.

And I understand that when you are the main playmaker on the team, you will have some turnovers (although Monte Morris never did!), but she does have a lot.

That’s not my issue. Her antics, her whining and crying, her flopping, her way overly dramatic faking of injuries…. and finally my biggest pet peeve of all… laziness in getting back on defense…. are all the parts of her game that I don’t care for.

She’s probably the best offensive women’s college basketball player ever IMO…. but I wouldn’t call her the best player ever. Too many other issues take away from that.
