Since Carver Magic isn't real, who cares? I mean unless it is a magic derived from half full crowds at men's games populated by blue hairs reading books and knitting.
And quite honestly, that's not the sort of "magic" anybody really wants

I think I say this every week. But no respectable conference plays on Thursday or Friday nights. It’s like a power conference putting on football games on Tuesday nights. It reeks of desperation for people to watch otherwise unwatchable games.

Did you know Wilson Sporting Goods started as a meatpacking company? And a different German Jewish name. Right around WW1 the German Jewish family noticed that the division making tennis racket sinew, sports balls, etc. from animal byproduct was the only one turning a profit. That and anti-semitism, and anti-German sentiment during WW1 made them bring in a public CEO whose last name was Wilson. They changed the company name to that (Woodrow Wilson was president at the time also) and re-focused on sporting goods. They "invented" the modern football (more aerodynamic for throwing) and after many attempts, convinced the NFL to use it before any colleges would. I guess they dominate the tennis ball market too.

But that schedule is so weak, they should get to 20 wins playing in B1G. We've played as many ranked teams in our last 5 games as they will in 20 conference games.
