They're pressing the perimeter really well and not letting ISU get completely clean looks in the paint.
They've thrown ISU's rhythm off on a lot of shots and made them look uncomfortable across the board.
Just a bad half. We were picking apart the zone early and our bigs just weren’t finishing. I think we lost confidence in that and then what do you do? Top that off with Baylor being hot from 3 and we should be happy to be within 12.
The good news is I haven’t seen a single guy hanging his head, so we can fight back if we’re stronger with the ball inside. If nothing else, we can draw a lot of fouls in that deep.

We've missed a lot of good shots, doesn't feel like our night but just need a couple buckets and we're right back in. Need to get Lipsey involved.

Before we get too despondent in this thread, let us not forget Houston looked like an AAC team at Kansas today. Road games are hard.
Houston got smoked on the road... Kansas shot like 65%.. Houston is allegedly the best defensive team in the country.

Baylor fans always look like, beyond knowing that it's good when the ball goes through the orange ring on their end of the court, they have no idea what is going on.
The point I was making was they are a bad defensive team. But teams grow and get better and adjust. Running zone this whole game is something they haven’t done all year and it is killing what we do best …it’s a good game plan for a sub par defensive team. Hope we handle it better in 2nd half and also adjust defensively ourselves
Road games are hard but this team is has been complete non-competitive in 6 out of 7 halves of basketball so far away from Ames.
Yup. Game plan of feeding the post didn’t workout with about 10 misses inside five feet.

They are playing hard and making us have to do the things we aren't to beat them.
I'm just really pissed at lack of awareness of King, Gilbert, Watson, BRE and to a lesser degree Ward. The number of times we haven't put a body on someone, didn't jump, or have been caught ball watching is inexcusable. The least you can do is pay attention, body up, and not led your man be left wide open. The rebounding and wide open shots have been the biggest killer.
If we don't blow rhe layups early, rebound fundamentally, and quit spacing out the game is at least close. Even with the offensive struggles.
