Tough day for EIU hoops hopes

I don't know, he had a good-looking airball last night and is still trying to dislodge the ball from his throat after an IU big blasted it back in his face.
Neck deep at the tax practice in the Illinois QC's.

Illini high school hoops hasn't adopted the shot clock, I think the only state in the country. Local fans told me Moline would get a lead in to the 4th quarter and let Harding dribble out the game.

It shows. :mccaffery:

It's kind of amazing how many Legacy recruits they actually get compared to other universities around the country. Normally you see a few but it feels like they have a legacy recruit every other year.
Most programs don't offer scholarships to marginal legacies. They may consider a walk on spot. Fran offers those legacy walk ons scholarships so he doesn't have to leave SE Iowa to recruit.

Every year, at the end of the season, Fran holds a team meeting, where he discusses the future of the program with the players, and the PowerPoint presentation both starts and ends with this picture:

Beating Iowa would be a Quad 1 win??? That's gotta be a joke, right?

Iowa is currently #61, Q1 on the road is 1-75. So, Q1 for Ohio State if they win.
Ohio State is #70, Q2 at home is 31-75, so Q2 for Iowa but barely. If they win, OSU may drop to 76 moving their victory from Q2 to Q3.

Feels early to be getting a must win game, but there looks like one in Carver tonight.
(believe EIU is a 5 pt favorite)

I'm thinking they absolutely have to win the next 3. IF they do that then they'll need to win 2 of the 6 quad 1 opportunities they'll have at the end of the regular season schedule. Then they're on the outer edge of the bubble.

Yes. To further clarify Ohio State will earn a Q1b win if they beat Iowa in Carver. Q1b road is 41-75 NET. Iowa will (tentatively) get a Q2b as long as Ohio St. doesn't fall too far from the loss. Q2b is 56-75 NET at home.

Its almost impossible to fathom how OSU can be this bad at basketball in any one particular season with the resources that Athletics Dept. has.
