I noticed on the ESPN feed - #6 Wisconsin (puke) 16 -4 @ Nebraska 15 - 5 and my immediate reaction was great to see Hoiberg resurrect what was an abysmal start to his Huskers career. I recall a podcast with CW and Blum asking a realistic question if Hoiberg would survive beyond '22.

Even further evidence the B16 is not what is used to be...

Coach Hoiberg can give ISU's chances for playing the NCAA tourney game in Omaha a boost tonight by beating Wisconsin.

Wisconsin and Marquette are the major competition for the 2&3 seeds in the MW.

As If anyone needed an added reason to root for Fred tonight there's that.

No major sports program in the United States pro or college has the stink on it that Nebrasketball does/did.

Win one tournament game and you've improved upon 100 years of futility. It would be like if ISU football was still searching for that first ever bowl win it got almost 30 years ago. The opportunity is there because the bottom half of that conference (and maybe the middle) is crap.

Both would go Indy first not?
Purdue has one spot locked down there I assume.

Have a big Badger fan friend. He told me to stay away from Wisky -1.5. Thinks they lose outright.

The western add ons are only going to dilute it even more. They are a power conference in name only when it comes to basketball.

I think the whole thing has a chance to work in fb but is going to be a grind for them in all other sports including bball. Washington has always been isolated but at least they weren't jumping 2-3 time zones.

Verdict is still out for how Nebraska will end up.

WI's not great but not bad and probably the best overall that they've been in 2-3 years; those teams with Davison were overrated.

Weekday games are going to have to be strategically scheduled to limit travel time and missed classes.

Don't care, Nebby ball sucks and so does Fred. Glad he is home in Lincoln. 5-5 in a **** league is impressive.
I'll never get the fred haters. He was Instrumental in making isu mbb must watch TV and creating Hilton magic as a player. Then as a coach he brought isu back from the dead. He Revitalized isu mbb and left the cupboards completely stocked for the next coach to follow his dream of coaching in the nba.

Some real sour grapes for all he has done for isu.

Yeah I've watched Wisconsin three times this year. Small sample size but they would be (upper)middle of the pack Big 12 at best IMO.
Yup they’re not that good, top 20 team probably but def not #6

He didn't create Hilton Magic as a player. Continued it maybe but didn't help create it.
