Not saying this team has the talent to make the CFP, but it's not unrealistic either. That game at Iowa is a must win for that to happen, and there's a realistic chance they could be rolling Deacon Hill out for that which would make it an even bigger must win.

IMO, the Iowa game has virtually no bearing on our CFP odds. We'll have to win the conference to make the playoff, and the Iowa game doesn't impact that.

So stagnating is the minimum? Why isn’t even a 1 game improvement the minimum? Especially with the schedules and with how much easier the conference is going to be overall I think 8 wins minimum and 9 should be the expectation.

Gotta love this newer, more optimistic Gunnerclone who jumps all over folks for predicting at least a season similar to last year's. You'd hardly know he was the "rot is setting in" guy just a few short months ago. Keep talking to your therapist, man, it's working.

Is West Virginia good or was it a product of their schedule this past season? They have a pretty brutal start this season. 7 of their first 8 games are tough. When ISU goes to Morgantown in mid-October, WV could be 2-3/1-4?

I was thinking ISU's trip to WV this season could be really tough, but it's always tough there and we owe them for what happened in 2021.

I know you troll for sport, but injuries and the impact of randomness in sports means 7 wins can't be ruled out just because we won 7 last year and return everyone. Think we'll get to play Utah in a snow storm for example?

Schedule for the season gets announced and I just got an email about renewing our season tickets. Looks like they are moving the cutoff date to renew up this year, we have until February 29th to keep our seats for next season.

Really on the fence about renewing this year, love our seats, but it gets harder and harder to make the games, really thinking about not renewing and then just going to the WV and Utah games on the road. Guess I have a month to decide.
