Tang apology

He should be fined for his comments in the Houston game. At the very least, he should be reprimanded by the conference for his actions.
Tang may have been fined and the Big12 office is keeping it to themselves. He may have also apologized to TJ (less likely) and both agreed to move on.

All he said in his press conference yesterday was that he talked to TJ and all is fine now with both of them. No other comment or apology.

He acted like he had spent part of the day in the woodshed with his bosses and the Big 12 office. He apologized to the Yormark, the Big 12 operations guy, his President, his AD, and his fans, but not to the referee directly.

If the athletic program was forcing apologies, and they didn't see the need in offering one to TJ, they are as messed up as Tang!!!

I mean they are kind of in a mess, especially with what happened earlier with the Bball program. But also with football imo, Kleimann isn’t long for KSU or the Big 12 in general imo. Mid and low level Big 10 schools are probably already gathering a war chest for him for when the time comes. Iowa included.

And people can say “well why would he got to Iowa or Illinois or Minnesota or wherever” but the numbers coming out of the big 10 and SEC for coaches (and players) are going to be astronomical starting in 2025.

ISU isn't getting anything. KSU just wants to move on and sweep it under the rug. KSU is stuck between a rock and a hard place, they have 0 evidence so they can't say anything publicly without looking like crazy people that can't cope with losing. However, walking it back makes them look bad as well since they have to admit that someone (my guess is the assistant coach that cussed out the student mopper) made false accusations to a reporter.

At this point I think KSU just wants people to forget about it which is why Tang will never say anything publicly and continue the line "we are all good". The longer the story is around the more it makes KSU look bad since it seems like national media is now asking for the evidence which we know KSU doesn't have.

I did see at the KU game that ISU put three ushers behind the visitor bench to watch the crowd. I don't know if that is new. I never noticed that at other home games.

I see Tang apologized to the ref he bad mouthed (I'm sure he was forced), no apology to TJ.........
That was the least sincere apology ever. It has multiple qualifiers like "I'm sorry if ..."

Pretty sure there were security/ushers there at KSU game, as well as at least 1 police officer. At least from what I remember. I am sure there is obviously a concern every game for security having fans that close etc.

Just makes this entire thing even more ridiculous on KSUs part.

At this point a public apology is in order

The fact they have not issued one just shows he still believes we were cheating. This is what is damaging IMO is the fact that they made such an accusation with no proof to show and didn't even have the guts to say it themselves and chose to just casually leak it to some local media. When Pollard and TJ addressed it publicly to get it on the record and they have no response other than "I talked to TJ and we're good now" that is BS. Own up to the mistake and clear the record once and for all. By not apologizing it just looks like you still believe we were cheating.

I don't know what happened since TJ spoke about it but if he and Tang did not have a conversation again after that or if he didn't privately apologize then I want to see us call him out for that too as you can't just brush this off like it was no big deal. I'd be ashamed if one of our coaches behaved like that.

Tang mentioned in his press conference that he had no further comment on the ISU stuff and that him and TJ had talked since and were on good terms. Which is his way of saying he's putting it to rest on his end. Only people who will bring it up from this point onward are fans

I believe the fact they haven't issued an apology indicates they know they're trapped. They have no evidence, so they can't double down, but they also can't apologize because it only invites the question why in the world would you make up such an awful accusation in the first place. So Tang says it's all good now because he's praying it will just go away and everyone will move on.

Exactly. Tang can't bring himself to admit fault so now he will just go full silent and try to bury it

He’d have to throw an assistant under the bus or take responsibility as a leader. Doubt he wants to do either so instead every ksu fan is left acting like a sad cult member.
