She gets all the media here in Iowa but is starting to get less nationwide (except on the scoring record she is going after) because there are a number of really good freshman playing across the country.

Court stormings come in waves after Caitlin Clark incident. Expert says stiffer penalties are needed
College basketball fans have stormed the court at least six times since the incident involving Hawkeyes star Caitlin Clark at Ohio State, and ESPN analyst Jay Bilas has called for an end to the tradition.www.kcci.com
Agree. Those aren't flops by the defenders. Those are obvious offensive fouls by anyone else.Lipsey also flails a lot to try to get calls... a TON of players do that... but some of that stuff in the video above is just playing dirty. Most players, including Lipsey, absolutely do not play dirty like CC does. That's just BS.
Honestly, as a Cyclone fan, this thread is kind of embarrassing. Do I hate Iowa? Yes. Does CC do some annoying stuff on the court? Yes.
However, maybe it’s because I was coaching when she was coming up, but I’ve never seen anything like her in women’s basketball. She is an incredible player. And the things she does off the court in the community, the post game interviews, and time spent giving autographs to kids is impressive. She is actually a pretty good kid, despite her competitiveness getting the best of her on the court. She has changed women’s basketball and I think long term because little girls see what’s possible. And she’s from our home state. That’s pretty cool.
To talk trash about her makes us look petty and jealous.
Also know and watchef Lipsey come up and you won’t find a harder working better kid.

Agree but there are some in the sport who do not do nearly as much good with their fame.Let's not pretend she's the only athlete who does this.
It’s good PR. Isn’t it part of the We Will deal? It seems to get a lot of press. Reminds me of the Wave.Let's not pretend she's the only athlete who does this.
As Kobe Bryant said:Let's not pretend she's the only athlete who does this.
So bitter and cynical. It’s good PR. Isn’t it part of the We Will deal? It seems to get a lot of press. Reminds me of the Wave.
That’s the issue with her on court attitude. Little girls are watching how she behaves on the court and then think there’s nothing wrong with whining/complaining to officials, flopping constantly, and just the overall egocentric nature she has in the court.Honestly, as a Cyclone fan, this thread is kind of embarrassing. I’ve said this before, but it’s worth repeating. I don’t like it when any player in any sport, man or woman, professional or grade school, complains about officiating during the game. Often times the play is ongoing and they don’t care about the play, and just keeps complaining to the official.
Not every call will go your way. Learn to deal with it. Bust your butt back to the other end of the floor and support your teammates. It’s a good life lesson as well: knowing how to react in adverse conditions when things don’t go the way you want them to go. It’s a shame CC isn’t demonstrating these skills to impressionable little girls

And I coach my daughter not to act that way on the court and she doesn’t. Weird. But also coach her to praise her teammates like CC does. Never I, always We.That’s the issue with her on court attitude. Imagine coming on a Cyclone website to simp for an Iowa Hawkeye, especially one that is a poor sport and actually plays quite dirty. Add in the fact that local Iowa media is trying to make her into Michael Jordan daily and incessantly, and real Cyclone fans must wonder, what are you doing? So bitter and cynical.
And if you didn’t coach your daughter to act mature on the court, and a little girl is watching CC and wanting to emulate her, what do you think would happen? And I coach my daughter not to act that way on the court and she doesn’t. I'd praise my teammates a bunch too if their only job was to defend, rebound, and then let me shoot. Repeatedly. Sounds like a lot of fun.And I coach my daughter not to act that way on the court and she doesn’t. Weird. But also coach her to praise her teammates like CC does. Never I, always We.
Moments and pressure reveal character. And if you didn’t coach your daughter to act mature on the court, and a little girl is watching CC and wanting to emulate her, what do you think would happen?
Clearly nobody taught CC how to behave on the court, too. You have to agree CC’s on court attitude is horrendous.
