49ers - Brock Purdy - Still and Always #1

Your point kind of makes my point. Sometime players can play well for 54 minutes and still lose. Just like a player can have a good 6 minutes and lead their team to victory. Doesn’t really make player B have a better overall game.
Purdy made enough plays to keep Niners close. Final stats show Purdy had better game than Love

Sorry if this has been brought up, but I'm trying to think and can't legit come up with an answer. Who was the last Cyclone to (A) be on a team in the super bowl, but (B) actually be a big timer contributor (starter)? It has to be Osemele right?

To paraphrase Seinfeld...

I think it might have been better when it was "Us Tube" before it became "You Tube".

The world is lacking some gatekeepers these days.
Can't we be the gatekeepers? Someone putting something up on YouTube doesn't mean we have to watch and discuss it. That makes us complicit in spreading the crap around IMO.

This is good stuff. Goes to show there is so much more that goes into how an offense runs that us armchair QB's and the pundits on TV don't know about.

They rail on Brock because they don't see the me have strong arm, me run fast in him they assume he's sub par and don't know about all the in-between the ears stuff that his teammates and coaches see.

Niners vs Ravens. Osemele destroyed Justin Smith it was a beautiful thing to watch. Good chance of a rematch of that game in a couple weeks.

Whoa! Steve Young makes a stunning statement about Brock. Good stuff!

That's a terrific interview. Everyone should take a few minutes and watch it, it's just better analysis than anything you get from a network NFL show.

So, having Brock perform at this level for a couple seasons now, what historical NFL qb is the closest comp for him, since he isn't one of "those guys" as SY put it?

Sorry folks you are all to worried about what people with a camera on their phone and a website are saying ( yeah I know there are a few bigger name talking heads that should be included also )
Brock is respected by his team and management he's fine, and in another year or so he is going to get paid more money than most of can ever imagine. Heck right now his around $900,000 he is doing way better than most on this board.
