I'm rooting for the 49ers to win, but I feel like the Lions pull it out.

I'll be cheering for Montgomery and the Lions, but will be thrilled for Purdy (and cheering for them in the Super Bowl) if the Niners win.
It's true that having a Cyclone QB winning a Super Bowl would be huge but a Cyclone RB playing a starring role in a franchise winning it's first Super Bowl I feel would be pretty damn cool in it's own right.

That said, I'm a Bears fan by birth and I'm not sure I can handle it if the Lions go back there before they do. So I'll be rooting for David and 100% in the Niners' corner next weekend.

If this is referring to Super Bowls Chicago has been twice while Detroit has never been so that doesn't make much sense.

Can't judge all fans of Detroit this way though. The Detroit safety's time is coming, and he will have earned it.
I've spent the past 15 months going all in on the 49er's. I've pretty much abandoned the Vikings at this point. Even without Brock I think the 49er's a fun team to watch and cheer for. So I'm 100% for SF next week.
But I have to admit it is pretty cool that two of the better people to play football at Iowa State are playing next week and one of them will be in the Super Bowl.

If, and that's a big if, SF can keep Purdy clean I think they'll have a great day against Detroit.

That’s what I thought. Did the broadcast screw up and it wasn’t 3rd down or did they screw up and they were out of timeouts?
Grew up a Bears fan but I'll think it's great if Detroit pulls it off next week.
Are they implying that Purdy is handing the game to Montgomery and the Lions? Or is he going to pull it last minute and take it himself?
I could see having issues with GB and Minny as a Bears fan but not the formerly
hapless lions.
