Bridget Carleton - Team Canadian & Pro Teams

Not a surprise -- the money is not guaranteed, so it was almost certain she would get a QO as a restricted free agent. Still, it seems likely Carleton will remain with the Lynx. She's a solid cheap depth option for them.

Bridget seems like a good team player. She is one of the few Lynx players to wave and acknowledge the crowd after a game. It seems like more than just a carryover of her times at Hilton. She seems genuinely appreciative.

Since we have some post talking about. Joens going to play in Italy I was wondering if Carleton was heading back to play in Spain? The Spanish team season was later in the year, December start, than the league Joens is playing in.

Wondering whether she is hanging around the Twin Cities or up in Canada? If she was around the local ISUAA group could invite her to a gamewatch.

Bridget is on the Canada pre-Olympic team. Didn't realize they were playing this November but her being on the team should be no surprise.

More love from the Lynx.

Bridget is a great representative for the WNBA and Iowa State. She must be a hero for some young Canadian girls and maybe even a few Iowans/Americans. Carleton is calm, reserved, respectful, and very talented: a role model.

Come to think of it that same thing can be said of other pros we have been fortunate to see succeed on a national scale that being Tyrese and Purdy. Good people!

Agree. I had a chance to meet her Mom at Bridget's final home game at Hilton. Clearly, Bridget's disposition and attitude reflect that of her Mom's. Very, very sincere.

Actually, just passed through their home town of Chatham earlier today on a trip. Ate at the Satellite Restaurant, apparently some sort of local icon which has operated continuously for 61 years. It's major claim to fame is being the first restaurant in the world to sell Hawaiian pizza. Go figure.

Boy, you can tell that she has continued to develop her footwork and shot since her college days. Looked really confident on all those 3s (good lord, if someone is lighting you up for 40+ pts, don't give up uncontested 3s; see ISU-BYU game for reference). Awesome that she's been able to make a career out of hoops.
