Very strange that a high major has to cancel because of injuries. Covid or the flue seems more than normal. Suprised they don't just go play with the walk ons and the rest of the team that is not injured.

They may not want to say illness if they'd rather not specify what the illness is and don't want to invite further questions. They said injuries. Not arguing your point thatca lot of gunk is going around.
The TCU forfeit also stinks because it may be a win that we need for the NCAA - the release says it counts in conference record but not regular season record. It stinks that ISU loses a home game for this. Now our next 3 games are all on the road.
The Killer Frogs message board seems just as surprised and confused as we are.Very strange that a high major has to cancel because of injuries. Covid or the flue seems more than normal. Suprised they don't just go play with the walk ons and the rest of the team that is not injured.
It does stink, but there is one tiny brightside... since this was at the same time as the men's game, now I don't have to choose between going or watching that.It stinks that ISU loses a home game for this. Now our next 3 games are all on the road.
Yes for Big 12, no for NCAA.So does this count as a Win in the records/standings for ISU?
Only in the Conference Standings - is a no contest in the season record. So does this count as a Win in the records/standings for ISU?
I'm sure it's just a coincidence they chose to forfeit to the top two teams in league standings.
Look at it as a loss of real-game experience for our young team. But also a chance to work on other things, watch films, and maybe rest up (Emily) and hope we are a rested rather than a rusty team.It stinks that ISU loses a home game for this. Now our next 3 games are all on the road.

It's essentially like the game never happened, with the exception of a win being added to the conference standing mainly for Big 12 tournament seeding purposes. It won't effect stats, overall record, etc. We will just play one less regular season game.Hopefully this doesn't mess with streaks like i.e. our 3 point record.
Looks like K-State was already in Fort Worth. I'm sure they're thrilled to learn about this.

Yes but now it means I have to wait until January 31st for another home game. Think about the real victim. One thing to consider is that it doesn't really impact the race. Barring a huge upset ISU and KSU were going to win these games so none of the contenders can really complain about that. It's not like the Sooners, trying to show they are a contender, got a forfeit from Texas or Baylor.
