TCU Forfeiting tonight & Saturday in Hilton

Very strange that a high major has to cancel because of injuries. Covid or the flue seems more than normal. Suprised they don't just go play with the walk ons and the rest of the team that is not injured.

OSU is also pretty vulnerable to something like a flu outbreak. They have had a ton of injuries and even went to the extreme of signing a graduate portal transfer at the semester break.

The Killer Frogs message board seems just as surprised and confused as we are.

It stinks that ISU loses a home game for this. Now our next 3 games are all on the road.
It does stink, but there is one tiny brightside... since this was at the same time as the men's game, now I don't have to choose between going or watching that.

The TCU forfeit also stinks because it may be a win that we need for the NCAA - the release says it counts in conference record but not regular season record.

It won't matter. Don't see us on the bubble unless we completely auger in and I don't see that happening unless we have some really bad luck with injuries or illness. The remaining schedule is not exactly a juggernaut of ranked teams outside of Texas and KSU.

We have 13 games left that "count". If we can't win half of those to get to 18-19 wins we maybe shouldn't be invited anyway. I think we get to at least 20 and are nowhere near the bubble.

One thing to consider is that it doesn't really impact the race. Barring a huge upset ISU and KSU were going to win these games so none of the contenders can really complain about that. It's not like the Sooners, trying to show they are a contender, got a forfeit from Texas or Baylor.

Yes but now it means I have to wait until January 31st for another home game. Think about the real victim.
