No one wants to be the OC at Iowa unless they get a LARGE pay bump or are at the end of their employment. The 1-2 page playbook is pretty complicated per Kirk.
Look up any 1776 comment...there you'll find the ramblings of a sad, desperate and pathetic Squawk who, like BF, has no where to go. So 1776 spends time here unfortunately.
He's either going to find a "Yes" man and do what Kirk wants him to do...or, Kirk will do it himself. Which seems the more likely scenario.
I like to imagine the new OC doing a bunch of prep work, installing a game plan and putting on the headset for the first drive of the first game and realizing that the OC's headset is just wired to play the Bluey theme song over and over again.
It's getting comical how long this is taking. I wonder how many have turned it down flat.
Ooooo I like this one. Throw in a O-Line Coach/Run Game Coordinator job title to a son as well and this might win.
I could call Kirk and offer my services, I could use the pay bump. No experience but I could watch the tape from last yr and come up with something similar to keep Kirk happy.
Of course you would. Iowa has never hired a coach that wasn’t the next and best gift to the game.
Lol no, I’d be incredibly disappointed in Budmayr, indifferent to Philbin, like Chryst, and really like Marion. I think it’s likely Chryst or Philbin still but I also think if it were those two it’d be done already.
He would do just as well as BF.
Kirk should name himself as the OC, but he won't because the fans need someone else to blame.
KF should take that job and add another $800,000 on to his salary.
