Washington hires Jedd Fisch

The idea that a coach who just lost to G5 Memphis in the Liberty Bowl—not to mention G5 Ohio during the regular season—would be a candidate for the runner-up national champions is straight-up delusional.

UW fans would rightfully burn Seattle to the ground.

Like I said, let's have some fun and wish some things into existence.

Ok, I’ll ask. What creditable source shows CMC is likely to go to Washington?
None are it’s just he got thrown out in some tweets about possible candidates. Absolutely no one is actually reporting that or even saying he’s a candidate. With Grubb out of contention it’s most like Arizona's coach or one of the Kansas schools.

Credible* and I have not claimed that CMC is likely to go.

But posters discounting him being a candidate look absolutely foolish.
I don’t think he’s a candidate for the Washington job coming of an appearance in a national title game. He’s still a very good candidate for a lot of positions he’s just had some bad years with some bad losses. If he gets ISU to the Big12 title game next year or two then he gets back up to being a top choice for alot of schools.

I believe he is. Even with his “bad years” he’s finished 4th or better in the conference, six of his eight years here. Which historically speaking, has never happened at Iowa State.

Many athletic directors hold him in much higher regard than numerous posters here do. And he’ll continue to be a candidate for openings across the country.

There's one credible source saying he's a real candidate at this point.

Troy Dannen did nothing but speak incredibly highly of Campbell when he was at UNI. Troy knows him.

I don't think you can discount his candidacy and his national perception hasn't really cooled.

I also think it'll be hard to pull Klieman away from working for his best friend without an overpay and, reminder, Washington isn't getting a full share of the Big Ten media rights until the next contract.

I think people understand he may be a candidate, and nobody here knows if Campbell is interested in that or any other job.

I frankly don’t care if a school has interest in Campbell or not. I’m waiting for valid sources showing Campbell is 1) interested in the job or 2) has agreed to terms with the job. Anything else is just speculation.

Scheelhaase or Golesh would by my two preferred candidates. There would need to be some patience with Scheelhaase for some OTJ training
