I know they have arrived, but checked the conditions at Des Moines. No more than 12 knots crosswind with breaking action good. Not an issue for a passenger jet at all. The crashes Okie light had involved freezing rain and smaller aircraft just like the ISU crosscountry team crash years ago. The most dangerous part of the journey is the bus ride.
I drive by it every once in a while. I remember the news reports from the scene. Bad day for sure

Feel like this is going to be a weird game with the time change and probably a smaller crowd
I drove past the site just last week, stopped for a moment or two and paid my respects. I was standing in the yard across the street from the plane when it burst into flames. Very traumatic experience.
Read the comments there. They're very clearly, and correctly, saying, "don't blame us, we tried."
