It was announced as 6pm on the womens game broadcast.

Why there hasn't been some kind of official social media posting from Iowa State though is puzzling.

There are plenty of places to "spend a little time" in Ames. Most of those places have beer too.

With the amount of football and basketball teams that fly in and out, seems like a investment worth making?

I believe Pollard is trying for longer runway and airport improvements but, it's a complicated issue. If you want to land big jets there, The airport would need a control tower and staffing for that etc. It's not a simple investment

The runway is also not in ideal conditions due to the snow etc. so landing distance will be greater, then you factor in wind....
