Tough day for EIU hoops hopes

Just popped in to say watching Tre King and Bob Jones against a decent defense makes you realize how god awful Iowa's interior defense is. In fact, I would go so far to say they have no interior defense.

6 pts, 5 rebounds, 0 assists between the two vs. Houston at the half.

35 pts, 11 rebounds, 3 assists vs. EIU. LOL

With really not having to do too much.

Imagine if Hasan had been healthy for that game!

Great atmosphere and win by the Clones last night. It sucks not having anything to be excited about when it comes to Iowa basketball.

So Lipsey should jump shoot free throws?
Yeah, he started out 1 for 5 from the line and it looked like it was gonna be one of those nights, but he was money after that.

Houston attempted to trap Lipsey almost every trip down the floor and the refs were allowing them to be extremely physical. All things considered, I thought Lipsey handled it very well. He's an extremely tough young man.

Tamin started cold but Rob was onfire. I saw four in a row before I had a zoom meeting that pulled me away.

A year ago that trap would have doomed Lipsey. Think back to the Tech debacle. Their press just ate us up.

Houston could have easily had 30 fouls. The refs were generous letting them be handsy. Nice win for ISU. MM learning quickly how big a step it is to play Big 12 BB.
