Did anybody else cringe when Milan went for the fade-away? I'll admit that I did. It is cool-looking, but a fade-away is so much harder than an ordinary shot.

Not at all. The shot clock was down to 4 and he was in the corner. You probably weren't getting any better look. Plus that leg up fadeaway has been his shot and is one heck of a move.

Not really. After seeing him shoot it a couple times already, it's basically unguardable, so I have been expecting that shot to come out in some critical situations where we need to get a shot up on the rim.

Im so glad he didnt go running into the crowd after hitting that shot playing the god's gift to basketball role....even though there was a little time left.....

Can argue with the results.

Not really. In no way am I comparing myself to Milan or saying I was a great ballplayer but I played in high school and I used to practice a fade away and honestly if you are a shooter like he is it's not that hard of a shot, IMO. It gives you some space from the defender.

At that point in the game, I didn't care how the ball went in the hoop, so long as it did.

Def takes a ton of practice to be good at it but with his size and technique on it, its actually less of a fadeaway than people think. Not taking away from Milan on it obviously but you can tell its one of his go to shots for a reason. The Dirk comparison in how he does it is very similar.

While true the average ability to make these shots by these guys is out of this world. It wouldn't surprise me if Momcilivic puts over 80% of these through the hoop when he is unguarded during a shoot around.

Love the Otz quote about not liking being an underdog in Hilton.
Tamin mentioned this too when he was being interviewed after the game by the ESPN guys how they felt disrespected to be underdogs on their home court. I love this mindset and I'm sure TJ is preaching it all the time that we have to protect home court and let let teams beat us in Hilton. If we do that then this should be able to finish in the upper tier of the conference standings and last night was a prime example that this team has the talent and heart to beat anyone on a given night.

Can't remember what show it was I heard it on but might have been one of the coaches corners before a game or weekly show where they were talking with an assistant coach that worked on Tamin's 3 point shot over the offseason. They talked about how they worked on being consistent with the mechanics and release point and how he put in a bunch of work to fix that and its paid off so far. Then they asked him if they have done anything with Milan as he doesn't have textbook form and he just laughed and said that Milan has had a high success rate with what he does so they don't mess with it even if it looks different as the purpose of working with Tamin's shot was fixing something that was not having a high success rate and as long as Milan keeps hitting shots at a high rate you don't want to disrupt that.
