Rocco's NIL value

Makes me wonder if we were able to match that or if Rocco found value elsewhere staying in Ames

tbh- i think this is where Rocco coming from the family he comes from really helps.
Trying to think rationally, but those who come from a "balanced" home and made the right decisions when selecting a college, it seems as if NiL won't have the significant impact we saw these first couple of years. Albeit, there will always be outliers, but look at who were kept intact this year roster wise as compared to previous years.

Culture and relationships last forever...Dolla Dolla Bills won't.

I mean he was really good this year and knowing the QB market that's not surprising. Especially since he could be a multi year guy

Isn't that supposedly "illegal"? I thought that amounted to tampering when players are approached outside the portal and with an actual dollar amount?
It’s the wild Wild West. NCAA decided to let those with unlimited financial resources to publicly do what has been done in the dark all along. They’d rather focus on arcane recruiting violations & “spying” which also have been going on forever.

No way we were even close to that. But he's in a stable situation and probably has aspirations of the NFL and ISU is a known commodity and a system he knows and works well in. And we won't immediately try to recruit over him every year.

I'm going to give you the benefit of the doubt and trust you know how these things actually work, and most deals are usually completely worked out before they go through official channels, not just in college but all level of sports and also business dealings.

I’m not laughing at your post, I’m laughing at the thought of someone actually enforcing a no tampering rule in whatever this version of college football is.
