Stadium construction ...

Not Football, but Baylor will be opening their new basketball arena Foster Pavillion, on the Brazos River, across I-35 from McLane Stadium, on Tuesday January 2 vs Colgate.

Will be interesting to see if they actually fill this one consistently with the smaller capacity. Glad the old one is gone though it looked like a dump.

Which is why it is curious Baylor draws such pathetic attendance to their sports.
Small city, basketball isn't big in Texas tough to get alums to come from Houston, San Antonio, Dallas, especially for mid week games, and every Joe Waco that didn't go to college is a Tshirt fan of Texas or aggy

Let see.
Baylor sucks at attendance for all sports including Football in the mighty Football state of TX.

Waco, is more than twice the size of Ames.

D-FW metro area is only about 1 hour drive away, with massive population.

In Texas a state that dwarfs Iowa and other states in the B12 in population.

Many ISU fans regularly drive multiple hours to games, I sit by fans from 3 hours away that have season football and basketball tix.

We are in a tiny state in population and compete with 3 other D1 schools for fans, Baylor is in a huge state with more D1 schools, but has more people in 1 city as we do in the entire state.

You have excuses but the truth is Baylor fans suck.

Baylor sucks at attendance for all sports including Football in the mighty Football state of TX. wrong. Football sold out McLane every year until covid

Waco, is more than twice the size of Ames. again most Joe Waco s like BU as much as you do

D-FW metro area is only about 1 hour drive away, with massive population. the southern Dallas suburbs are an hor and a half on a good day I35 is the worst interstate in the US.. The rich northern burbs are 2.5 -3 hours

In Texas a state that dwarfs Iowa and other states in the B12 in population. It also dwarfs you in distance between places. Iowa would almost fit inside Greater Houston

Many ISU fans regularly drive multiple hours to games, I sit by fans from 3 hours away that have season football and basketball tix. Congrats you should be proud

We are in a tiny state in population and compete with 3 other D1 schools for fans, Baylor is in a huge state with more D1 schools, but has more people in 1 city as we do in the entire state. with a smaller student body than ISU has. Texas has a dozen D1 schools to be a fan of. You have 3. Your unaffiliated fans have 3 choices. Ours ha 12.. although they usually attach themselves to UT or aggy

You have excuses but the truth is Baylor fans suck. you may be right, but I don't, and I have a National Championship, and that's what really grinds your gears.
I literally just noticed this thread the other day and with Foster opening tomorrow night I thought I'd post it since this is a Big XII page.
Truly didn't think I'd get you into your Brain Stem so deeply. Happy New Year
