Kayden Fish Hurt?

Those three redshirt freshman could pay big dividends down the road. Nice core of young players to add to the guys playing now.
Things we learned during the sit out transfer years under Hoiberg was that having more than one redshirt at the same time really helped their development. More than one group of sit out transfers talked about how they would do things like lift, shoot and work out together when the rest of the team was off on road trips. Fish may be limited on what he can do after surgery, but the three of them still can do some lifting together and continue to bond as they are out this year. Personally I think making those bonds with other guys sitting out may help just a little bit in keeping them at ISU rather than hitting the transfer portal.

Multiple redshirts is a blessing in the new world of roster turnover. Another year in the weight room, soaking up the culture, filling out the roster as we have departures (draft, graduation, portal).

Interesting, one each:
One injury redshirt
One traditional old school type redshirt
One early entry to Div I by a HS senior redshirt.

Bummer it's an injury but a redshirt year will be good for him I think. Interesting we will have 3 freshman redshirts

Each a unique case. 3 RS Freshmen and 2 true Freshmen is a lot of youth off the bench.

I'm hoping Rock is ready to contribute as a backup Center and one of Jelani/Nojus can provide some rotational minutes at the wing. We project to return a lot in the back court but front court minutes will be up for grabs. There will be multiple adds from the portal that factor into this as well.

And iirc, Fish and Hamilton are/or were roommates, to start the year.

So your saying Fish's shoulder injury occurred when Hamilton threw Fish to the floor in their apartment while wrestling as part of a "feats of strength" contest celebrating Festivus Dinner. ;)

Dresser might have found himself a new heavyweight. Now that might be a fun Festivus wrestle-off for Hamilton's services: Dresser vs. TJ. Heck that might be a great NIL fundraising opportunity!!! Winner's sport keeps the cash from ticket/apparel/concession sales and Hamilton.

Yes it is Friday night.

Oh man. Almost time for the Airing of the Grievances. My favorite time of year!

It appears Kayden is having sh. surgery Dec. 26 now? Does anybody know how he injured it? I thought I read earlier that he dislocated it? I could be wrong. The brace he's wearing seems to fit that type of injury.

Hope he has a successful surgery and a full recovery!

Sucks for him, but may be a good thing in the long run. Getting a redshirt is what he needs.
