Took my kids to an army game couple years back. They couldn’t believe they never passed. It was like trying to explain quantum physics to a 10 year old.I didn't think Army even had 9 passing attempts on the year.
I am bumping my own post I made and it appears it is Will Howard to USC!!Future USC QB Will Howard?
Guys leaving the program. Will try to update accordingly.
RB- Cartavious Norton- CHARLOTTE
RB- Eli Sanders
WR- Greg Gaines
WR- Quaron Adams
TE- Deshawn Hanika- KANSAS
G- Darrell Simmons Jr.
DE- Jefferson Adam - BUFFALO
LB- Joseph Jean-Louis - NORTH TEXAS
LB- Carston Marshall
DB- Treyveon McGee - CHARLOTTE
DB- Myles Norwood
DB- Terrell Crosby- TOLEDO
As expected.so far we've seen everyone drop down a level with the exception of Hanika
Why are we constantly comparing players to former players. Montgomery used a low center to break tackles. Norton was straight up and tried to power through tackles.Norton always looked like a high major running back when healthy. Maybe not a burner but very Montgomery-style of runner.
Maybe I'll eat crow, but the downgrade from Caleb Williams to Will Howard seems steep. Caleb Williams is one of those typical Lincoln Riley QBs and Will Howard feels like poor mans Charlie Brewer (Baylor). Good but entirely forgettable.I am bumping my own post I made and it appears it is Will Howard to USC!!
But he would be a QB in the Big10 next year and probably near the top.Maybe I'll eat crow, but the downgrade from Caleb Williams to Will Howard seems steep. Riley had pretty good success with another big, physical QB at OU with Jalen Hurts. He might also want to build a more physical, run/pass balanced team to compete in the Big10 and not put so much pressure on his defense.
Could be Lincoln has finally figured out all pass/no run usually means a crappy defense.
Called Dante Moore to Oregon on November 30.Oregon Duck.
So Dillon Gabriel is off to Oregon and this happened today:
Chess not checkers. Gabriel comes in with 1 year and a bag, win or Dante Moore will be in. If not, Moore gets another year of development and is the starter going forward, or they’ll go buy their next qb. The big NIL schools are going to stockpile or buy new qb’s every year going forward. Its been speculated that Phil Knight wants a NC in football before he dies and he’s got the pockets to outspend anyone.Called Dante Moore to Oregon on November 30.
But I didn’t expect them to take Dillon Gabriel too. Kind of a confusing move now.
Maybe we can convince Elon Musk to be a Cyclone fan. He likes burning money.Chess not checkers. Gabriel comes in with 1 year and a bag, win or Dante Moore will be in. Yes, instead of having coaches that can actually do a massive part of their job and develop talent, just grab some every year. Throwing money at the wall doesn’t always work (see A&M)Chess not checkers. Gabriel comes in with 1 year and a bag, win or Dante Moore will be in. I think that will be and is being used as a precautionary tale for those with money. Don’t soend it all on 18 year old that could hit or could be a miss.Yes, instead of having coaches that can actually do a massive part of their job and develop talent, just grab some every year. The Will Howard USC thing is just weird. So they had a 5 star top rated qb redshirting behind Williams. And now he’s in the portal. Howard is a decent p5 qb but throw away the young talent for a one year rental is insane to me. He’s not going to do anything remotely similar to Williams. I guarantee they’ll have to go get another one next year.I think that will be and is being used as a precautionary tale for those with money. Use your resources on established guys as a rentals to fill any roster concerns going forward. See what school are currently shopping or shopped for a qb already: Washington (Got Rodgers), Oregon (Gabriel and Moore), USC (Howard), Ohio St, Miami, FSU, Notre Dame, Wisconsin, Colorado, and I’m sure I’m missing many more.
Most of those schools have 4* and 5* sitting and waiting but want that 1 year splash.
