*** Official Iowa vs IOWA STATE Game(Day) Thread ***

Wooee What A Dinger...

They are looking better and better with each game. Watching an offence that works under the basket is a lot more fun than the 3pt shots of years past. They did not slow down until about 10 minutes left in the game. Perhaps should have pushed to the end, but did not need to as the Hickeyes were obviously tired/depressed.
Yeah, Patrick McCaffery looked sleepy, or like he had the flu or something...

Has Rob’s ft shooting improved enough that he’s a crunch time end of game player if Ward gets back. He’s definitely turning into a guy you want getting heavy minutes. Right now we need him out there even if the other team intentionally fouls but at full strength Tre, ward and Milan is a pretty big and long front line defensively.

I haven’t looked at the ft #s but the shot looks better to my eyes at least.

His shot has improved, I haven't looked at stats yet but just guessing I'd say he is around 70%. Dude just put in the work to become a player.

Gilbert’s out-of-control reckless offense in Florida was totally redeemed tonight. Buckets were like fish in a barrel for him tonight. Deonte Burton drove me nuts like that at times years ago.
It’s been awhile since I’ve seen someone go behind the back in the lane like Burton always wanted to do.

The biggest thing about this game was we controlled the tempo of the game pretty much in it’s entirety. We played really well tonight offensively, and defensively too. When you play like that, we could beat a lot of teams.

If we had lulls on offense or defense like we did against Texas A&M and Virginia Tech, this would’ve been a much closer game. I really don’t think Iowa is a “bad” team. Even good teams can have bad nights.

Well this is 2 games in a row they've gotten their ass kicked and I love it.

There was a possession in the DePaul game where he had about as bad of a turnover as you can have at this level and it would appear TJ decided at that point he needed more time. He just almost can’t be in a competive game with the way he’s played. Hoping this stretch of weak completion pre- Big 12 can get him going some.
If the kid leaves, he leaves, ISU and TJ are trying to win games here. We do not want to end up like EIU playing the coaches kid because he is his son or the local kid in this case because we are afraid that he will leave if we do not.

Number of stars no longer matters, it's what they can do out of the field or the floor. If Omaha can adjust and help the team, he will get minutes, if not, then it's on him to either improve or leave.

Yeah I just looked it up, fg% drastically higher from 50% up to 70%. I figured that because it’s just so obvious.

Ft stepped up from 29% to 40% last year to 50% so far this year. I think the calculation probably changing where it’s worth it to have him out there late in a close game because if the whole package.

Lil late to the party here but can I get a HELL YEAH?
