This is a kid that needs minutes to get comfortable with the speed of the game. How often are you going to have the opportunity to be up by 30 against a power conference opponent where you can easily give him some run to try and build some confidence?
It's fairly likely we won't be up by over 30 again in any p5 game. If not now....... then when?
The Negative Nancys are focused on Omaha right now, so my money is on that.
Why are you always so negative? Maybe he goes to the NBA but I don’t think he is ready, obviously. Maybe he transfers, but all accounts say he has always wanted to be a Cyclone. BRE and Tre King will graduate. The minutes are wide open next year.
As much as Iowa kept pressing why send him out there to struggle?

It might be time to seriously consider discontinuing the basketball series with Iowa. We are the far superior basketball program and a member of the premier basketball conference in the country. Id much rather play a home and home with Notre Dame or Creighton. There is nothing to gain from playing Iowa.....

Omaha was put through a hard workout about 2 hours before tip. Not sure what to make of that exactly, but pretty sure the plan all along was for him not to play tonight.
