I'm surprised how pessimistic some of you are. I think your defense will swarm Iowa and lead to some very poor shooting. Defensively, Iowa is a trainwreck. I have you guys winning by double digits.

I think since Iowa had a bad night earlier this week they'll come out in 'fix it'/house money mode. Whether it's sustainable is the key.

Same goes for ISU. They got some things going last week but I'm not sure how consistent they'll be.

If it comes down to free throws, it will have to ISU doing unusual things if they make them.

I didn't watch the EIU - Purdue game because it's the Hoks. But I've seen us play, and we can beat darn near everyone. We play and shoot well, we win. We don't, it's a tossup.

Have you watched our defense? It's definitely a drop off from the last two years.

It may not be as good overall once the competition ramps up, but still #6 in the country in scoring defense and #19 in field goal percentage defense. A lot of CFers need to calm down

It’s unfortunate that Ward is out. Would’ve been nice to have the depth available to allow BRE to take a swing at McCaffrey when he’s being a *****.

We could really use Ward tonight. Iowas center (krikie ?) is probably their best player.

That never gets old. Certainly on the list of the most memorable individual plays against Iowa. Fred’s slam over Earl is another. Lafester’s game winning shot against Iowa in his 54 point game was great, but his 3 before half to put the Clones up by one was my favorite. John Neal, a walk on coming off the bench to hit his 2nd big three pointer to drive a dagger in the Hawks. Niang’s bucket and the kiss to the Iowa fans? Monte Morris’s big shot for the win after coming back from down 20? So many good ones to choose from!

I think many of our concerns, I may be wrong, is that teams seem to be hitting really well from three. If that happens tonight for Iowa, we lose by 10+

Well, they are *technically* at the bottom of the B1G. In other words, iowa MBB is located firmly at the base of the... conference

Next year with the addition of a few more solid programs, look for iowa to drop even lower... buried somewhere deep down in the the ball...standings of the B1G.

Great question.

Fran is fun to boo when he gets riled up. The adults making millions coaching a bunch of 18 to 22 year old kids always seemed the best targets for vitriol (good natured ribbing or not) to me. Edit: I vote for Fran.

If they are hitting that high of a percentage, then the ISU defense has some problems to address.

Last year ISU packed it in and dared a bad shooting % team to beat them from 3. And Iowa came out and shot, what 8 of first 10? Something ridiculous like that. And it was over.

ISU needs AT LEAST 1 of Gilbert, CuJo, Chill to have a good game. If they are all off, Tamin and Bob Jones won't be enough... If 2 of them are on, the Clones will be just fine.

Tonight would be a good night for CuJo to stop doing his Prentiss Nixon impersonation.
