Time for a Real Discussion About Caitlin Clark

I doubt that there is a professional league in the universe that will let her chuck 143 shots every game as if she is the only player on the court.
CC averaged 2 more shot attempts last season than Ashley Joens did. And made 6% more. Were you outraged at Ashley's shooting? CC also averaged 6 more assists per game. But let's not let facts or stats get in the way of the ***** session.

You're so obsessed with ISU that you had to look that s#!t up this morning? This is what has become of your life?

Last season attempts:
Joens: 16.5
Clark: 21.8

OK, was looking at this year.

Is she shooting too much this year then?
Not considering the way the rest of the team is shooting. Her percentage is down a bit but the supporting cast is not as good.

That boy was born with a silver spoon in his mouth. No way he was going to have the work ethic to work from the ground up for an NBA organization. Might as well put a ring on Caitlin with Daddy's money and keep riding that gravy train. Pretty sweet life!
I shudder to think of the progeny that would follow that union...

I am in the camp that thinks CC complains way to often up and down the court. It is a lot like LBJ imo. However, if you see most of the top athletes at their sport they tend to do that. At times refs will take it, at other times they throw a T their way like what happened in the 4th qtr of the NC game last year.

It has been said that this is the exact reason why TJ does not allow his athletes to get on the refs. a) he handles all of that when he feels it is truly needed b) refs remember the bit@hing during the game and into other games c) he wants his players focusing on playing first.

Wow. You are a butthead!
I am? Not the guy that is ******** about CC's shot volume when you guys had a player that shot close to the same amount. I also don't like the ******** at the refs that she does and can understand the complaining about that (she should've gotten at least 1 T). But shooting too much at the percentage she shoots?

The ref complaining is a pattern. Does the Iowa staff even try and get her to stop doing that?

She disparaged the refs. Beyomd it really. At least twice was T worthy.

I've never seen a player try to tell a ref when or when not to call a foul.

Does Bluder just let her run everything?

I haven't watched her much but there wasn't anything last night that made need to tune in. It was like watching a McCaffery.

There’s always going to be some rivalry blinders with an Iowa player, but if CC had the demeanor of Keegan Murray, for example, people here would have more admiration for her as a local kid doing great things.

But there’s being competitive, then there’s…that. That type of behavior just makes a person unlikeable. Doesn’t matter the sport, profession, gender, and so on.

ISU played hard last night, but we weren't exactly playing out of our minds. We made a ton of mistakes and really struggled to finish at the rim. Not sure what Clark's comments at halftime were all about. It was actually two pretty evenly-matched teams playing a very competitive game.

Obviously I'm no fan of Iowa, but taking the rivalry blinders off and just objectively watching Iowa, they aren't a top 5 team. They have the best player on the court every night, but the supporting cast isn't there. When you have one player (regardless of her talent) score all of your points in a quarter in a really tight game, you have roster issues.

Iowa is good. I think they're more top 15-20ish instead of top 5. If the supporting cast gets better throughout the season they can be top 10.
South Carolina would beat them by 20
