That is where I am booked as well.Going. Not my desired bowl or opponent but team deserves some support because I think a lot will skip it.
Considered staying at the Pyramid but opted for Canopy downtown.

That’s a good point. How bad do you have to be if you can’t get 6 wins with only 8 conference games? With the soft non-con every team in the SEC plays, there's no reason every team in that conference shouldn't be bowl eligible.
Well in that case, playing Alabama in the Independence bowl would qualify. Did that one do anything for ya?No, not in the sense of literally playing an opponent in their home stadium, but playing someone three hours from their home wouldn't be exciting then or today.
If you're worried about a small private school playing 3 hours from home then you can't complain about not drawing an SEC school in the Liberty Bowl. No, not in the sense of literally playing an opponent in their home stadium, but playing someone three hours from their home wouldn't be exciting then or today.
The problem is all of the SEC teams that made the NY6 bowls. The distribution of these bowls also add to the $ imbalance on top of the conference media deal payouts (which will be even more important when we move to 12 playoff teams).Playoff committee: SEC is obviously the top conference, top to bottom, we can’t leave out their champion
SEC: fails to qualify enough 6-win teams for their bowl tie-ins
Not to mention playing Rutgers in New York and TCU in Houston.
Not quite as far as amesFort worth is a little ways from Houston.
Being able to go 2-6 in conference and get a bowl is so, so dumbThat’s a good point. How bad do you have to be if you can’t get 6 wins with only 8 conference games?
You mean like KU “getting” to play ******* UNLV?The opponent isn't exciting but if you're wanting to go to a bowl game this is still a good destination. And it will be a good game day atmosphere, like it was the last time.
You want a better bowl? Don't lose to Ohio and/or Kansas.
The more I think about this, the more I would feel pissed if I was Memphis.ISU gets ****** again. Same fuckkng bowl and opponent as a couple of years ago? Another G5 team? A home game for our opponent? Can we host a bowl game at Jack Trice?
The Rose Bowl is definitely not in a sketch area of town.
Same thing around the Citrus Bowl/Pop Tart/Cheez It/Camping World/Champs SportsI've been to the Liberty Bowl. On the way to the stadium they had bars on all the windows of houses and businesses. I'm not how sure how much worse Shreveport can possibly get.
Get over it. I have attended many ISU bowl games. Winning the bowl game makes the trip home much more enjoyable. When the bowl opponent has been a “step up” (LSU, Texas A&M, Georgia Tech, N Carolina St, TCU, Alabama, Washington State, Notre Dame, Clemson), ISU has lost. Oregon may be the exception but that was a undermanned squad and COVID impaired season. Excluding Oregon, Pittsburgh, Minnesota and Memphis may be our best bowl wins.Losses to Rutgers, Boise State and Tulsa were not good.ISU gets ****** again. Same fuckkng bowl and opponent as a couple of years ago? Another G5 team? A home game for our opponent? Can we host a bowl game at Jack Trice?
