Memphis is hit or miss on the weather and you can smell the city before you see it. Still a bowl but could have been better. I like another game and more practice for the team especially being as young as it is. They all stick together next season with the new playoff format, and new big12 it could be an interesting year. Who's gonna be favored going in? I look at the teams and don't see anyone we can't beat.

Trying to get the tickets, it keeps telling me I have to answer questions and when I do I get shot to another site. Anyone successful yet?

I’d highly recommend you consider it. I’ve been to 7 ISU bowl games and Memphis is my second favorite bowl destination (behind Alamo) that we have been too. Tons of ISU fans, Beale Street, and good food.
and you're right, I should consider it but, more than likely, I'll cross my fingers and hope for a better bowl next year. it's a gamble but probably one I'm willing to take.

Last time we played in the Liberty Bowl... they wouldn't allow any of the band members to leave their hotel... too dangerous. That is not a lie... I knew a band member that was there.

They were only allowed to leave for a guided tour of Graceland, and a pep rally that had security.

At the Alamo, if they weren't supposed to be somewhere for an event... then they were free to do whatever they wanted in San Antonio... just roam the Riverwalk, go to the Alamo, or the Tower of the Americas, etc, etc.

Band members I knew hated the Memphis experience bad.
I'll let you know. My son is in the Band.

3rd time to the Liberty bowl and zero SEC opponents. 2nd time facing Memphis there. Should still be a fun trip and game but kind of disappointing

Very disappointing.

This bowl should be against a SEC team, yet we end up playing Memphis twice and Tulsa. Horrible luck. Rather play 5-7 Mississippi St or South Carolina. I hope the P4 separate soon and stop playing G5

The ACC hasn't done a call with any of the bowls. Are they gonna pull shenanigans because of FSU?

What site are you on?

This is straight trash. The past 15 years there is only been a handful of non P5 schools play in this bowl. Iowa state has 2 of them and the others were army and navy .
Better than nothing but playing a bowl game as a road game is just stupid . Actually feel worse for Memphis as this would just suck for them.

Well when you lose to Ohio, Iowa and Kansas you kind of signed up for it I guess

We should win. But could get interesting if TJ doesn’t play

it’s just a little disappointing that we can finish essentially 3rd in the big 12 and get stuck playing a G5 team in the 5th best big 12 bowl

I’m not so much annoyed with the bowl game itself or the location rather than just the opponent.
This. Memphis is a lot of fun and the food is amazing. But playing against Memphis is lame. I just hope Scates doesn't burn us.
