F*CK IOWA

First Iowa has to look like it belongs on the same field with its opponent in the title game.... if it ever happens again. Now that the west is gone that seems like a remote possibility.
So your contention is ISU waiting for Iowa win B10 title before they themselves become top 25 worthy? Not sure I follow your rationale

Hawk fans busting their chests out in punting, defense, and special teams play, yet the 84 yard punt return against them wasn’t the turning point. The Hill fumble sure was though. Hawk fans are so delusional!

If the call was made at the Michigan 7 yard line with Iowa driving, yes I can see the complaining. Iowa’s offense had no momentum the whole game, so to say it changed things, is totally absurd! Hawk fans gonna keep complaining.

In their system a 40 yard punt is a true disaster of a play and they had a few of those when they had all the room to try to pin them deeper. He did get a few crazy long punts too though.

It’s literally the funniest thing on earth watching Iowa fans blame every single loss on officiating then start so many of them with “not to sound like an Iowa state fan but” ….every loss I can think of dating back to Iowa state beating them in kinnick a few years ago, to the women’s national title game then Minnesota this year and now getting stomped by Michigan….it’s the officiating that cost them blah blah blah. **** Iowa
Was hoping for a weather delay last night. We all know how those favor Iowa and change the momentum.

I have never heard a hogeye say, "we got beat." Never.

It is always, "we got beat, but....." Always. Their ability to create a diversion in their brain for rationalization and excuses is remarkable.

Haven’t heard any of the Iowa fans here say “we made too many mistakes. Can’t give up a huge punt return, didn’t force any turnovers, and we turned it over 3 times. Kudos to Michigan for out playing Iowa at their own game”

Instead, the narrative is “refs were against Iowa” and “defense played well enough to win”. It’s ok Iowa fans to admit your team made crucial mistakes at crucial points in the game that directly led a Michigan scoring most of their points. And even if those mistakes didn’t occur, Michigan’s first drive would had sealed the game anyway as Iowa couldn’t move the ball at all on offense

I've said all week that Michigan was the worse matchup for Iowa because, yes, they play a similar style as Iowa only 1,000 times better than Iowa. I do think our D played really well, but Michigan is just on another level and when you're playing a team like that with one arm tied behind your back because you have zero hope of doing anything on offense, there's no avoiding it getting ugly.

The point is you have no reason to complain about ISU not being ranked when you have no real shot of accomplishing anything anyways.
You’re changing the subject, poster said Iowa outscored by ranked opponents 60-0 this year (actually it 57-0 but within the acceptable margin of error). I’m saying that Iowa would have more favorable record in that regard if ISU ever finished in the top 25.

You need to realize there’s whole different world out there outside of Twitter/X. Most Iowa fans realized the game was over after the long punt return and the fumble from Jaz sunk the rest of the fans.

One arm tied behind your back???? Why even say that? It would be like an Iowa State fan saying we wouldn't have lost a game Brock's junior year if we didn't have a ****** offense line. All excuses and what ifs. You, and we, are what we are. Can you type "we got beat by a better team."

Yes, but I haven’t seen any Iowa fans here say Iowa made too many mistakes. Instead, Iowa fans here have just been trying to make a positive spin on the outcome. It’s ok to say your team made mistakes.

Duh, figured by saying Michigan played a similar style of football 1,000 times better than we do kind of implied that it's obvious they're a better team, but here you go champ... we got beat by a better team.

And the one arm tied behind our back thing isn't an excuse, it's just the truth, KF is content fielding the worst offense in college football and beating crappy teams with D and ST. Our offense can't do anything vs. good teams, and vs. most bad teams.

All teams have strengths and weaknesses. Good luck listing them.....

Thanksgiving snuck up me this year. Like clockwork this is about the time ISU wants to play Iowa in rematch or even better, just declare victory outright in the hypothetical matchup.
You can go back to ISU's 5 year win streak and find Iowa fans saying the exact same thing. "Ferentz teams always get better throughout the year."

I get your point.

Some teams are one or two players -- or one or two plays a game -- away from being the same caliber as a Washington, Texas (this year) or Alabama.

Iowa was a whole half of a team from being the same caliber.

But some Iowa fans truly believe that when you utter names like Georgia, Ohio State, Oklahoma that the hawks should be named in the same breath as those teams -- that they are an elite program. "IF only we had a good offense...."

And that's the delusional aspect of some Iowa fans
