Cooper DeJean injured?

I wish their program and annoying fans all kinds of losses and embarrassment but never for injuries. they are just kids doing what they love.

If I heard that the guy on camera mocking an injured visiting player a few years ago got hit by a car after the game I wouldn't shed a tear.

Same with the folks throwing full cans onto the field.

I'm hearing it's from worse than turf toe. Happened while his was taking offensive snaps in practice this morning. He had a DT land on him.

If true, Why TF are you tackling him? Are Noel and Higgins getting tackled in practice all week? (Not saying they are equal importance)
Has he played offense at all this season or would this have been the first time taking offensive snaps (assuming that's what happened)?

Same with the guy hoping that a nuclear bomb hits someone's campus?

Illinois is pretty bad but I could see this swinging the Nebraska result.
Iowa's defense and Taylor are good enough to beat Nebraska and Illinois.
Iowa could win the next two games, scoring 7-10 points each.

I still stand firm that Taylor is probably their most impactful player though. I am not sure Iowa beats ISU, Purdue, Wisky, Northwestern (4 losses) without his ability to pin teams inside the 5 and also switch the field with insane punts.

Can't say I have ever seen a team that is 8-2 in a below-average division that would probably be 4-6 without its punter...lol

that being said...hope the best for Cooper.
this may send Kirk into retirement and honestly, with what he has coming at him for scheduling soon, may not be a bad idea. Go out 10-2, get to the Big Ten title game (get smoked unless the defense can score 24 points), go to a New years bowl and retire. I really think they are going to come down a notch over the next few years.

maybe once in a blue moon the could make the BIG Title game, but the odds of them finishing in the two top between Mich, Ohio State, Penn State, Wisconsin, OSU, USC, Washington, Oregon, UCLA and maybe even Nebraska again at some point is going to be extremely difficult. I could see them finishing in 9-10 place a lot of years moving forward, but probably depends on the unbalanced scheduling.

Sucks a little bit for Cooper, but he'll recover and be ready for the draft, and still go in the top 2 or 3 rounds. Meanwhile, Iowa still has a legit shot at 10-2 and Big 10 ccg beatdown, so not much is really changing IMO. It's the system. Kirk has it down to an exact science. It doesn't matter what players are out there.

You must not have watched the NW game then, he was terrible in that game and not like his normal self.

Jon Miller has been calling it "the sacrifice" on the IA Everywhere pods.

i watched some of it, but if figured it was a taylor type of game. That was a windy game though if I recall. so maybe that was it.

Dochterman is now saying broken fibula, which is a six week healing process. His last game in college might be behind him at this point. I wouldn't rush back for a bowl game if I was him.
****, I wouldn't either. He's got bags to collect and protect coming up soon. That's priority #1.

If you had to list Iowa's most important players to start the year I feel McNamara, Cooper, All, and Lachey would have been in the top 5 with Tory Taylor. Now four of those are gone for the season. Also, losing Shannon for the season hurt as well.
Ok, injuries stink but the offense wasn’t exactly clicking when those guys were all playing in the first 3-5 games anyway.

It was mostly a crosswind though. He just wasn't good that game at all and actually almost cost Iowa the game by hitting a low line driver for about 35 yards that was returned another 20 yards setting up NW's only TD of the game.

If he was really hurt in practice it makes you wonder what the hell they were doing in practice, unless it was a freak non-contact thing. He’s probably the most important guy on your team.
Oh, to be a fly on the wall at these Iowa practices...

They could not get any juicier!
