Grandview Open ISU entries

Kraisser? Did he lose his starting spot? That one seems odd.
I don't think it's settled. Chittum's coming off some injury and coaches probably didn't want to throw him into a tournament. See Dresser's recent press conference for discussion of starters and choices b/t dual with Davidson and Grand View Open this weekend.

I’m guessing we’ll see both Kraisser and Chittum in various competitions throughout the season.

The question…in my opinion…is whether or not Chittum is head and shoulders better, when healthy, than Kraisser. If he isn’t, can’t he still wrestle in 5 attached competions/duals and still redshirt?

EDIT: For the record, I’m a Kraisser fan. Good or bad, there are no more edge of your seat wrestling matches out there in my opinion.

I agree with your last sentence as long as you add “Post-Degen” caveat to it.

Yes, he is classified as a 1st year college wrestler and has the 5 match option. You don’t have to read too hard between the lines to know the coaches fully expect Chittum to man this spot in March.

I’m sure that’s the plan, but plans can change. Was just throwing out existing options.

What does AE eligibility clock look like? It says RS Jr on the website but does he have an extra Covid year or something? Seems like he’s been around forever just took him awhile to find a home.

If his career was normal then he would potentially have 3 years left. But given that his main 2 goals are getting a degree and being a World Champ I doubt he would use his Covid year.

It looks like the only Div I competition is from UNI and Nebraska.

former Cyclone Aden Reeves is wrestling for Grand View.
