I have yet to understand the outrage against Harbaugh with regards to the Stallions case.
Stallions got caught. Stallions was instantly let go.
Not sure why Harbaugh is facing more heat for a low lever staffer being dumb than he did for personally breaking recruiting rules during COVID and then covering it up.

Most of these coaches are control freaks. They know what's going on, unless they're actively looking the other way. Either way, they're held responsible.
Remember they changed the rules that the head coach is responsible for all other coaches under their control.
So even if he didn't know, he's still liable for it.

You're incredibly naïve if you think this was some massive organized scheme that involved multiple staffers who were sloppy enough to buy tickets in Stallions own name and allow him to stand on opposing sidelines, but also simultaneously savvy enough to leave ZERO crumbs for the NCAA to find linking any other staff member.
Just doesn't add up.
Sometimes the easiest explanation is the best: Stallions crossed a line on his own accord. Not everything is a conspiracy.

These punishments this past year are actually great.
I hope they continue with punishing coaches rather than players. Too long the NCAA and conferences have made sweeping punishments to teams when it's almost always coaches or staffers breaking the rules.
