Sleep Question

It's kind of neck uncomfortable but I now prop up my pillows to keep my head elevated.
I sleep better but still wake up (less than inised to).
I put a folded towel under my pillow. Straightens my neck enough that I sleep better. After a few weeks I have issues again. I realize the towel is gone and have to get a new one.

When I quit doing a nightcap 1-2 standard drinks, I didn't sleep all the way through the night that well. I do also have generalized anxiety disorder, so I'm naturally more on edge. Doctor prescribed 25 mg of Trazodone and now I sleep like a little baby, 7 hours every night like clockwork.

I think I'm an outlier but I generally sleep like the dead. I fall asleep quickly, sleep through the night, and usually naturally wake up before my alarm (sometimes a bit too early). That being said, my lifestyle is pretty conducive to great sleep (no kids, try to be pretty active, strong routine) and I try to maintain habits that promote good sleep.

I drink a lot of tea at night so I usually wake up and hit the pisser around 3am. but it’s in full zombie mode and I’m right back to sleep. I also consume plenty of cannabis so that probably helps, too.

I'm in bed a long time but never sleep more than 2 hours at a time. I'm a side sleeper and once my hip or neck get sore I wake up, turn to the other side and fall asleep. Rinse and repeat. We are on our 4th bed in 3 years, trying to find the right fit. Nothing works. Guessing this is the start of old age.

I eat half a gummy a half hour before I go to sleep. It helps a ton. I never wake up and when I wake up in the morning I can tell I get a full night sleep. If your job don't test for Mary Jane, try this approach for a few weeks and see if it helps.
Gummies do help some. But I still wake up.

I used to toss and turn for 4-5 hours (literally) due to my mind not shutting off. I started taking a couple gummies and eventually settled on 40mg Melatonin. I could typically sleep pretty well with that.

Since the Parkinson's has started to ramp up, I wake up about 4-5 times to go the bathroom every night and can't sleep past about 4am no matter what I try - even taking more Melatonin. Unfortunately it's a prominent symptom - extreme exhaustion 24 hrs/day but inability to sleep.

Normally I sleep through the night no problem. If I've had a few drinks I usually wake up in the middle of the night and can't sleep. My 3 year-old has started a bad habit of climbing in bed with us in the middle of the night recently and she wakes me up several times a night unless I carry her back to her room. I don't have any proof, but I'm fairly certain she dropped the People's Elbow on me last night about 3 am.

I'm sure your goddam prostate is all pristine too.

PSA check it and keep checking it. I have lost friends to prostate cancer and I don't have a prostate anymore. 7 years cancer free. Please everyone keep your PSA checked. Private message me if you have questions about prostate cancer and dealing with it. I will answer questions that I am able to answer.

Also CPAP almost two years ago changed my life. Wonderful sleep every night. Unless their is a huge personal problem that I am dealing with at a given point in time. I am not overweight, that is a misconception of needing a CPAP. Overweight can aggravate or cause sleep apnea but not always.
