Future Big 12 FB Opponents/Schedule Announced

I'm confused, do people really give that much of a **** about Kansas State?

Very well could be in the minority on this one, but it didn't even cross my mind that them not being on the schedule in 2027 mattered.
The only thing that bothers me about it is the fact that it IS the longest, continuous, uninterrupted rivalry in the U.S.

Agree. Personally, I prefer playing KU and Oklahoma State to K-State every year.
When I was in school, ISU played Oklahoma State every year (Big 8 days), then they only played them 2 out 4 years in the Big XII Divisional days. Then, they started playing every year again in the Big XII non-Divisonal Era, and the games have been fantastic every year.

So, change is not always bad. Either way, playing every team at home and away in a four year period is good. ISU will still play both K-State and KU 3 out of 4 years, which will be fine. Also, looking forward to the two new teams (UC and UCF) coming to Ames next year. I'm really looking for to Ariz., Ariz. St. and BYU coming to town. It's like a nice OOC game!

Have only read half the thread, but is anyone from the Big 12 actually calling these "protected rivalries?" I mean I assume over a 4 year "microcycle" of trying to play everyone at least twice, a few teams end up playing each of the 4 years. But over say a 16 year "macrocycle" it balances out so everyone plays each other the same number of times. Meaning there will be years with no BYU/UU, TCU/Baylor, KU/KSU or ASU/UA.

This whole scheduling thing got me thinking about bball. I hope that we can play @Zona and @ASU on a Thus/Sat or Fri/Sun like how the PAC does it now.
I'd love a winter escape for a long weekend down there.
What are flights like out of Iowa to Arizona?

KState is as much of a rival as we have in FB next to Iowa. I'm disappointed they can't keep it continuous. In BB I hope we can keep KU yearly and some yr both home and away.
