The only thing that bothers me about it is the fact that it IS the longest, continuous, uninterrupted rivalry in the U.S.I'm confused, do people really give that much of a **** about Kansas State?
Very well could be in the minority on this one, but it didn't even cross my mind that them not being on the schedule in 2027 mattered.
Agree. Personally, I prefer playing KU and Oklahoma State to K-State every year. The only thing that bothers me about it is the fact that it IS the longest, continuous, uninterrupted rivalry in the U.S.
No you're not. The outrage is kind of weird.Am I taking crazy pills or are people acting like Kansas State is off the schedule for the rest of eternity? With this schedule we play them 6 times in 8 years. Hell by 2027 we may have 4 more conference members.
Particularly the people outraged at Pollard, as if he had the ability to change an entire scheduling matrix just so ISU vs KSU could happen. I’m happy with playing KSU/KU/OSU 3/4 years guaranteed. That’s a reasonable compromise in today’s day and age.No you're not. The outrage is kind of weird.
Have only read half the thread, but is anyone from the Big 12 actually calling these "protected rivalries?"
Also hoping our away games there in football will be in November. This whole scheduling thing got me thinking about bball. I hope that we can play @Zona and @ASU on a Thus/Sat or Fri/Sun like how the PAC does it now.
I'd love a winter escape for a long weekend down there.
What are flights like out of Iowa to Arizona? This whole scheduling thing got me thinking about bball. I hope that we can play @Zona and @ASU on a Thus/Sat or Fri/Sun like how the PAC does it now.

Allegiant does direct IIRC to Phoenix. What are flights like out of Iowa to Arizona?
Farmageddon Record: 52- 50 - 4 in favor of ISU. That's a rivalry. Full stop.
Especially in the late '80s.Meh. It's a series between two largely no-name schools that nobody is clamoring to see.
American has a direct flight between Cedar Rapids and Phoenix. I was on that in April going to SFO, and I’ll be on it coming back from the Vikings game in Vegas in December.Allegiant does direct IIRC to Phoenix.
