I was working in the TTU ad as a GA while he was there, it was a good experience.
#10 with Steve Alford right next to him was priceless. This entire top 10 the did was some good stuff.

Also ruined people’s lives, left them with anxiety, depression. Bullied people, cost people jobs. If anyone saw the Neil Reed documentary u would know knight was a piece of crap.
Well, I met Johnny at his bar on Duff once, kinda where Best Buy is now. To say he didn't enjoy a cocktail would be lying. Now, I don't know if he drove home or had a problem like Huggins.
I haven’t read the book, but Leach lasted longer than Knight so I don’t know how that’s possible. Knight may have been part of the reason Leach was let go, it was probably more towards the (now unfounded) abuse accusations that seemed similar to Knight.
True, a lot of the best players and coaches have some of this in them. Knight a little more than others, but guys like this are wired differently. Eustachy, from what I understand, was very similar.
I had a coach like this that ruined the sport for me and I’ll never forget it. I can’t imagine the level knight went to with his players. Just cruelty and bullying is not exceptable. Coach K hated the way he was also.
Had a drink with him and Musburger during the big12 basketball tournament around 2011. They'd always stay at the Raphael Hotel and were pretty approachable. I liked Knight. Always remember he was very supportive toward the Street family after Chris past away. Sensational coach outside a few outbursts.
I did not check the receipts on that. The book made it seem like TTU hired Knight and he had more sway with the AD so leach was forced out. I stand corrected.
I always thought that former Ankeny High School coach Larry Ireland, who passed on many years ago, was the Bobby Knight of Iowa high School basketball.
He was incredibly demanding of players and incredibly old school. Players feared him. At the same time, though, you felt like if you could survive him, you could survive anything.

To everyone who dumbed my post. I hope you don’t get bullied by someone who ruins your life. Let alone the countless lives knight destroyed to make himself look like a hero. I’m not about people like that. Keep singing his praises because he won some basketball games.
