Well that hasn't been a strength in some time. I like Perkins quite a bit but he's inconsistent. His good vs bad games have huge discrepancies. I hope he takes a step and becomes like 2nd team All Big Ten type would be a realistic goal. Ulis loss is addition by subtraction I was never a fan of him for this level. He's a 7th man type in a lower league. There's a lot of questions in the backcourt too you're right. Like I said I'm not confident with this group.

I just think as usual your guard play will be your Achilles heel.
Iowa will be a bubble team that will play no defense but score a lot. They’ll beat up on B1G teams that have below average guard play and/or have troubles scoring the ball. They’ll struggle against above average guard play and physical defensive teams. Same story every year. It’s got to be boring being a Hawk fan.
Probably right. Front court absent the Murray's and Garza looks a lot different though
Based on what I’ve heard out of UNI, Iowa will be the 4th best team in the state and it won’t be close
It’s going to be a rough year for Iowa. I’m predicting slightly above .500. I don’t trust anyone on the roster to carry this team for multi game stretches. There’s no alpha. Only thing I’m looking forward to is watching the true Freshmen play and grow. I like all 4 of them but particularly Harding and Freeman.
Sidenote: I’m willing to bet Harding will become a top 2 or 3 most disliked Hawk by ISU fans by the time he’s done. He plays with and edge that opponents are going to hate.

Does Harding try and start fights, brick shots, and act like he’s tough? If so I’ll enjoy watching him suck.

Just because they play with an edge doesn't mean we hate them. McCabe may still be my favorite Hok player ever.
I don't mind players who "play with an edge" if they are good enough to back it up.
In other words, not a Jordan B. type player, for example.
McCabe should have pointed at the rim (calling his shot) before airballing the last second shot. Then he would be untouchable.
I’ve got to see it before I believe it. It’s been 7 years since they’ve been to the tourney, and they’ve only even had two decent years in that time. They went 14-18 last year.
