Took Iowa 12 minutes to take the lead for good
Did they play an actual exhibition? Does Fran really have no friends in the coaching ranks who want to do a secret scrimmage?

Well that hasn't been a strength in some time. I like Perkins quite a bit but he's inconsistent. His good vs bad games have huge discrepancies. I hope he takes a step and becomes like 2nd team All Big Ten type would be a realistic goal. Ulis loss is addition by subtraction I was never a fan of him for this level. He's a 7th man type in a lower league. There's a lot of questions in the backcourt too you're right. Like I said I'm not confident with this group. You’re seriously more worried about the front court more than your guard play? Interesting.

I just think as usual your guard play will be your Achilles heel.Well that hasn't been a strength in some time. I like Perkins quite a bit but he's inconsistent. Probably right. Front court absent the Murray's and Garza looks a lot different thoughI just think as usual your guard play will be your Achilles heel.
Based on what I’ve heard out of UNI, Iowa will be the 4th best team in the state and it won’t be closeMy only hope is that they're like Iowa State football come on as season goes and look to have some solid young players for future years. The starting front court is going to have major problems stopping anyone. Depending on if UNI takes the major step some are anticipating Iowa might be 4th best team in the state
Unstoppable as always.

It’s going to be a rough year for Iowa. I’m predicting slightly above .500. I don’t trust anyone on the roster to carry this team for multi game stretches. There’s no alpha. Only thing I’m looking forward to is watching the true Freshmen play and grow. I like all 4 of them but particularly Harding and Freeman.
Sidenote: I’m willing to bet Harding will become a top 2 or 3 most disliked Hawk by ISU fans by the time he’s done. He plays with and edge that opponents are going to hate.
Just because they play with an edge doesn't mean we hate them. McCabe may still be my favorite Hok player ever. It’s going to be a rough year for Iowa. I’m predicting slightly above .500. I don't mind players who "play with an edge" if they are good enough to back it up.It’s going to be a rough year for Iowa. I’m predicting slightly above .500. I think this one has already happened. Not sure, thoughWe should do one of those pools where we all pick a date in the calendar for specific events:
I'm taking early November...
- Fran's first tantrum
- Fran's first technical
- Iowa lets up 80 points
- An Iowa beat writer mentions NCAA tournament
McCabe should have pointed at the rim (calling his shot) before airballing the last second shot. Then he would be untouchable.Just because they play with an edge doesn't mean we hate them. McCabe may still be my favorite Hok player ever.
