Not a thing. clonesjer has been pushing those uniforms as a joke for awhile. He's not joking about loving the tertiary blue, unfortunately. There is a weird faction of fans (usually younger or newcomers to the fanbase) that love the gear from that era. I actually like the McCarney-Davis-Doxson era uniforms because the blue isn't a huge part of the jersey. It's mostly just the socks, trim, and the logo on the helmet.
But the fan gear from that era is ugly.
I will sit at midfield ala the Cal game this past weekend to protest ever using that damn swirly blue bird logo. ******* worst logo in ISU history.
Watch your mouth. The bird in a blender logo is iconic. No other university in the world has a logo that is part bird, part weather phenomenon.
If nothing else its a better tornado than that fvcking Bugle....

I don't know why people are so quick to puke or dislike something like this. I applaud the effort. Sometimes that's how you stumble upon ideas that might actually work or evolve into something else. It's creative.
OK, dislike the blue, if it is blue. Let's say it is black. You might still dislike it. I'm not saying I like this over our current black unis. Our current black unis may be needing a redesign sometime soon, I don't know. And I'm not saying something like this is a better alternative. Half our fans might like something similar to this, in black, half would prefer the current black set.
I would like to see the 2 logos here in greater detail. Very unique design.
None of the black/blue unis with red accents look good. It just doesn't work for ISU.
I tend to agree. Our black is best. Black, silver, white.

It’s AI. AI tends to scramble text and lettering on generated images. Impressive that it kept the logo in as many places as it did.

How do you feel about wearing Cardinal, against Oklahoma, TT, Cincy, Houston etc.?
Or wearing gold against Iowa, WVU, Baylor etc.?
The black uniforms should be reserved for big night games. Don't use them for kickoffs earlier than 6:00 and don't use them for a 3-5 vs. 2-6 game if we have one of those, or for a G5 or FCS opponent.

Perfectly fine. Because Cardinal and Gold are our primary colors.
