Tough day for EIU hoops hopes

Seems fairly predictable that with Pat being a senior, a new AD and the youngest McCafe set to play elsewhere that Frans days at Iowa are numbered. Wouldn't surprise me in least if this is his last year.

Ferentz and Fran gone in the same breath would be quite the housecleaning.

Both those guys have built programs with reliably high floors but unimpressive ceilings.

I could see Harding playing a lot this year actually. Fran set things up to be thin in the backcourt. The Sandfort's can theoretically help out some but Iowa only has 4 true scholarship guards on the team.

Odd roster construction. Can ill afford any type of injury to the few capable primary handlers Perkins, Dix or Bowen.
Francis with bizarre roster construction!!?!?!?

Well I'll be and here I am without any pearls to clutch!!!

Quincy is located in the hotbed of Fran's recruiting territory too. Should be good for attracting future players.

Took Iowa 12 minutes to take the lead for good

My only hope is that they're like Iowa State football come on as season goes and look to have some solid young players for future years. The starting front court is going to have major problems stopping anyone. Depending on if UNI takes the major step some are anticipating Iowa might be 4th best team in the state

I've hit 24 free throws in a row, outdoors. Where is my scholarship?
When Fran was in his ginger mode with Gazelle and I’m tired of losing to teams we’re better than guy, was surprised Fran didn’t go after my ginger kid. He was 6’1” and averaged 6 points a game in high school. Would have fit right in other than loathing the Hawks.

You’re seriously more worried about the front court more than your guard play? Interesting.
