I was a hot mess this morning. I usually have to take my youngest to school, but they have the day off in Ames. As such, I was able to snooze my alarm, and I apparently turned it off in the process. I woke up about 20 minutes before I needed to be on work remotely.

Fortunately, I am pretty low maintenance. I could be laptop-camera ready in time, if not properly caffeinated. My hair is very curly, so it is more of a matter of beating it into submission than it is “doing” it. Not a big fan of most makeup, and I shower and lay out my clothes for the next day at night.

Are you high-maintenance or low-maintenance? How long does it take you to get ready in the morning - do you require a morning shower to wake up? Do you prep for the next day at night?

I have curly hair that I like to let air dry, cause if I blow dry it I look like a news anchor. So I usually shower or bathe at night.

I can be ready in five minutes in the morning, run a brush through the hair, brush teeth, put on moisturizer with sunscreen, and get dressed

Same! Blow drying my hair gives it that fresh, “I wear shoulder pads and crimp my bangs” look. And straightening it is an exercise in futility, because it starts to curl again within an hour, and just damages it.

I like to be prepared for all things, so I always check the weather the night before and choose clothes accordingly. That way I don’t have to be responsible for anything while I am tired.

As a guy, low maintenance. Just usually shower, brush teeth, and get dressed and I'm ready to walk out. For lunch, usually when we put away leftovers from dinners, we usually make them so that their takeout ready, so just grab that and put it in my bag.

Now that we have a puppy, and I'm the morning person in between my wife and I, I have to take care of the puppy in the morning. So that adds to my morning time.

I'm very low maintenance. I've shaved my head for a long, long time, so very little to do in the morning other than brush my teeth and get dressed. Because of that, I really don't miss the hair anymore.

Just got a new puppy last Friday (our third dog), so my mornings are a bit of a **** show trying to get them all outside to go potty, fed, and then clean up the playpen to go along with my normal wake up things. Fortunately, the pups wake me up at 4:30 like clockwork, so I've got the time.

I’m very low maintenance.

Laying clothes out the night before doesn’t sound low maintenance to me.

I take the clothes at the top of the drawer/pile. Why it looks like I wear the same clothes day after day. I have a manual job so when I find comfortable stuff I buy multiples. Another reason it looks like I wear the same clothes.

Low maintenance. It takes me maybe 20 mins to get ready in the morning. I wear a quarter zip, polo and golf pants or jeans to work everyday so it's not like I have to plan what I'm going to wear.

I'm more mid-maintenance.

I'm getting up in front of people, so that means more thought than just whatever is clean, but it's not a formal presentation to my superiors most days, so it doesn't have to be that fancy (also students are showing up in sweat pants).

I am insanely low maintenance. Back in the before times I would pick out my work clothes for the next day and put them in the bathroom but that was about it. Now I can be out of bed and logged on in two minutes or so but I generally to shower and do the morning stuff before logging on.

I'm low maintenance and a morning person, but I don't like to be rushed / in a hurry so maybe I'm mid maintenance?

Get up, bathroom, brush teeth, shower (longer than it should be since it's my version of coffee), clothes, out the door. I could be out the door in under 30 minutes if I needed to, but I'm typically close to 45minutes to an hour. Had a beard for 5+ years and my hair is buzzed super short, so I don't ahve to do any prep on that. Also depends on how the stomach is feeling since my commute is an hour with no real stop off points other than a ditch on the side of the highway.

I'm low maintenance. I can be showered up and ready in about 10-15 mins in the morning. I always joke that if you take longer than 10 minutes in the shower you may be doing other things than bathing yourself as shouldn't take long to soap up and rinse off on an average day. Most morning I can get up the same time my kids get up, get showered and dressed and be downstairs to fix them breakfast before they are done with getting their hair ready (both kids are girls with semi-long hair.)

I have curly hair and have not yet mastered second-day hair (I tried sooooo many methods when we were working from home), so I have to shower any day I want to look presentable. But from getting out of bed to fully dressed and makeup (I don't do a lot, but like a little), it takes me about 25 minutes.
