I already explained in detail how bad of a call it was 4 days ago, I dont have time argue about it anymore.

Only reason 90% of you guys on here think it was the correct call is because of the team it involved.

Go watch the field level view of it, it was absolutely egregious to make that call in that situation based on his movements. End of story.
I'll bet my life savings if the same thing happened to Iowa State you wouldn't sing the same tune

He wasn’t waving. And the officials admit it’s a judgment call. So you are partly looking at intent. They also say it didn’t look like a wave from the field level view.

The other Iowa talking point I continue to see is the “you have to look at the video in real speed and can’t slow it down” narrative.

No you don’t. Replay, by definition, breaks down these plays in a frame by frame basis to see what happened. That’s its purpose. Plus, if you think DeJean normally runs like that - you have a bias blind spot.

After luckboxing into a bunch of wins over the last few years, it will eventually catch up to you which is what happened for Iowa this weekend.

Yes and if it doesn't look like he waved from one specific angle then that somehow makes a ******* difference too. I don't even care about this **** anymore but the willful ignorance and/or stupidity from these people is driving me ******* crazy.

Everyone's used to the over-the-head fair-catch signal," UW coach Paul Chryst said after the game. "And now I understood what they were calling.

I said it before and I'll say it again, Kirk going full grown stubborn old man in his presser pretending like he didn't know or understand the rule made the situation 10 times worse. These are two glaringly different responses to the calls.

I agree. I do think the excessive celebration call is more of a judgement call and therefore it is easier to argue that it shouldn't have been called. The punt thing is more cut and dry and it seems like it is actually called.

The point that irritates me is the Iowa fans (and to be fair CW ;)) going on and on about how they shouldn't have called it because it was such an amazing return.

The Minnesota coverage team was literally covering the play like it wasn't returnable which certainly aided into Cooper's return though. IMO that isn't being talked about enough.
