Looks like he’s too focused on running the ball with those O stats.Brian should get a mid year raise with these stats:
Total offense: 133/133
Passing offense: 131/133
Rushing offense: 108/133
Total first downs: 133/133
Scoring offense: 118/133
Punting avg yards/game: 1/133
Long plays from scrimmage: 132/133
Time of possession: 125/133
Seems like a fair question for Kirk's next presser.Ferentz runs a bush league team, so I expect nothing less.
Whats insane is they cant run the ball AT ALL. Thats been their whole identity for 20 years. They have a couple good backs. They've had good linemen for 2 decades and now suddenly they are terrible.Looks like he’s too focused on running the ball with those O stats.
Also, how are you not last in passing when your QB had a 39% completion rate?
Its more likely i will start for them at nose tackle next game than any reporter around here would ask that.Seems like a fair question for Kirk's next presser.
"Kirk, regarding your defensive lineman attempting to slap the ball from the center as he's snapping it, is that something you coach your players to do, or are they doing that on their own?"
Would love to hear Kirk's response.
Kirk: “we don’t condone that behavior”Seems like a fair question for Kirk's next presser.

Did they explain why it was reviewable? I didn't hear that part. I heard why it was the right call at the time... but not when it was missed.
You are supposed to read the right to left. FNA . . . . Farmers Need AmesBecause they wave at sick kids and put an ANF sticker on their helmets so they are saints…duh!
You speaking from personal experience . . . . ?Keeping Kirk around is the equivalent of not dumping your psycho girlfriend because she's good at giving head.
Their style of play under Ferentz pretty much requires a good o-line and running game to be good on offense. Losing those and not adapting leads to what we're seeing now.Whats insane is they cant run the ball AT ALL. Thats been their whole identity for 20 years. They have a couple good backs. Maybe it really WAS just Doyles rhabdo roid juice that made them good.
Kirk said that’s just the way he runs.I’ve seen a lot of “That happens all the time and it’s never called.” I don’t agree with that. We see the pointing (which isn’t the invalid fair catch part), but even that is almost always followed by the returner just running away from the ball or at most just falling on it. I don’t recall seeing players wave their arm and then trying to return a punt.
Are we really going to pretend that Brian has full control of the offense. Kirk is just to much to blame as Brian is.I mean, that's all Brian's responsibility. He's literally the problem.
Meh Iowa’s defense is solid but let’s get serious, the QB play in the B1G is awful. Iowa feasts on weak offense.Seriously. If they approach something even close to average from the offense they are like a fringe playoff team.
Kirk is gonna pull a Hayden and stay like two years too long. With the new look B1G it would make sense for him to hang it up after this year but he won’t and it will get ugly. This is worst case scenario for Iowa fans. If Kirk stays, Brian stays. If Brian leaves, Kirk leaves. They have a national reputation for being absolutely garbage for offense. And would Phil Parker be around if the Ferentz crew left? I doubt it.
