Why do you say that? I'm not familiar with this guy besides reading his bio on the website which seems pretty impressive.

AMES, Iowa – Head coach Kevin Dresserannounced wrestle-off brackets for the 2023-24 season Wednesday evening.
Wrestle-offs will be split into two dates with quarterfinal and semifinal rounds taking place Saturday, Oct. 21 at 10:30 a.m. Finals matches will be contested Thursday, Oct. 26 at 6:30 p.m.
Both dates will be wrestled on the main floor of the Lied Recreational Center and are open to the public free of charge. IAwrestle will stream all matches live on Rokfin.
Yes the bio is impressive. I’d love to see him compete, it’s just he never does. This is his 3rd year with the program. No point to expect him to start now.
This is a very bad take, IMO, especially considering who we've had at 97 and HWT that last 2 yrs. I can think of quite a few people that didn't get a chance in the line-up until their Jr or Sr year year and either AA'd or won a NC. Maybe there are other reasons but this ain't it.
Huge bummer if we never see him in anything but open tournaments.
This is only his first year of eligibility though. Year one was a gray shirt, two was his redshirt.

He was supposed to wrestle off, and I was extremely excited to see him, then he just vanished off the page never to be heard from again.
